Boxing often attracts men of questionable backgrounds. It's the nature of the beast. I understand that and accept it. But I do believe a line has to be drawn somewhere. I can't agree with the notion that all we should care about is what the fighter does in the ring, or that you can be a fan of the athlete and not the person. They are one and the same. I can't cheer for a scumbag...can't do it. I can admit if that same scumbag is a good fighter, but I'll want to see him lose every time out.
Things become a little tricky when it comes to determining what constitutes a "scumbag." It can be very subjective. But I think we can universally agree that a man who punches and old woman in the face in an effort to steal her purse is a scumbag in the purest sense of the word. I want to see that guy fail.
The way you try to deny years of such behavior as I mentioned when called on it is always highly amusing.
Yep, that's exactly what I thought. You like to tell lies and make BS claims, you just don't like when you're called on it and can't back it up. Lol, what a clown!

Maybe youth sports. When it comes to the pro ranks we want the best of the best...at least I do.
I do think a line has to be drawn somewhere. For example, when it comes to a serial rapist or child murderer, I'm not sure the public should be celebrating that particular boxing talent.

Yeah, I mean, few hardcore fans would care very much if a fighter did a bid for drug dealing or assault, or something likewise run-of-the-mill (for boxing, anyway). But child ******ation and assaulting old ladies in the course of robbing them tends to be frowned upon even among hardened criminals. Tough to separate the man from the act in those cases....

Dude, he wasn't convicted. We have no idea what really happened. Even if he did do it would that make his skills in the ring any less appreciable? I don't particularly like Broner, it doesn't mean I can't like watching him fight.
Hey Jab5329, they hate the kid so much that they bumped a thread that is two+ years old, and still don't even know what truly happened, lmao! They did it because Broner got too much good press over Matthysse who was 163 lbs for a 140 lb fight with Dallas, lmao!

Then you and others like you need not to support this kid. Don't buy his PPV's when they start becoming available. Don't comment on him non stop or bash him every chance you guys get, because you're just helping bring attention to him. If you guys really think he's such a scumbag, fallow those simple rules.
