KNOWRISK: if pacman beats mayweather it won't be because of workrate

Does anyone remember Pavlik/Hopkins? You DON'T throw 100+ punches when the other fighter ISN'T in range. It would actually be ****** to do so. Hopkins controlled the "range" on the fight. Floyd is ALSO very good at that. Hopkins mixed in "holding" at the proper time too and that kept Pavlik from getting in a rhythm. If Pacman was to win it'll have to be from SKILL and POWER. Floyd is probably the most "skilled" fighter out there, so the "skill" options not going to work. It'll have to be POWER, and Pacman has plenty of that. I'll assume Floyd will react to that power like the rest of the WW's have. And they haven't been able to withstand it. But there is the next problem....you have to CONNECT on Floyd for the POWER to mean anything. We ALL know that's no easy task. Clottey withstood the power by not getting hit by it. But he also didn't throw punches. Floyd's defense is NOT Clottey's. His defense involves MOVEMENT, AVOIDANCE, and COUNTERING. Pavliks power meant NOTHING cause he couldn't connect with it. So for Pacmans sake, I hope her really DOES have a way to break down Floyds defense that he claims is so easy to decipher. Cause I haven't seen it decipher yet.

This is getting old. Can't we just go with the same old "reason?"

you are classifying Pacquiao as a one dimensional slugger like Pavlik. Mistake number 1. Pacquiao is all technical, and very fast on his feet.

I don't think he's one dimensional at all. I just think his power is his best chance of winning and it'll be a tough task to land that power. If he can figure out how he should be in good shape. But it might not be as easy as he seems to think being that NO ONE has been able to land much on Mayweather.

i think mayweather is hittable if we consider pacman`s style. work rate in intuitive/weird angles with speed can be a very effective weapon. but that is considering may`s evasion skill only. with counterpunching skills, pac has yet to show us how to nullify them.

I don't see how Manny is all that technical. Without his power and speed, he's above average, but not great. Without power and speed, Marquez would make him look like an amateur. The only reason why Marquez wasn't able to beat Manny in their two fights was because Manny was way too fast and powerful, but when he try to outboxed Marquez, he got schooled. He has improved without a doubt, but i don't think he's all that technical. I still think the if the Mayweather VS Manny fight happen, Manny can still beat Floyd because of his speed and power. He's arguably the fastest boxer in the world today and add that with his power, he's just too tough to handle.

workrate is thing that will make him very hard to beat, and the fact floyd cant hurt him.

The way Mayweather handles Mosleys power and aggression will tell A LOT. Because even thought Mosley and Manny have different styles, if Mayweather can AVOID the power and aggression of Mosely then more than likely he'll be able to with Manny also. But that a big IF. We'll have to see

                    Says who?

Not having 1 punch KO power doesn't mean you don't have the power to hurt someone
