Povetkin has talent but i don't think he's ready. His boxing ability, speed and power are pretty interesting. Let Sam Peter take his beating, make the Klits VS David Gaye fight happen, then let Povetkin fight him. In a year he'll have better knowledge, he didn't work with Atlas long enough yet.
I have a feeling Sam Peter won't fight Wladimir too, none of the contenders won't fight Wladimir until they are confident they can beat him.

Sam Peter will probably fight Povetkin next.

Very interesting. Povetkin showed a lot of good head movement there, and some nice angling to the sides with his footwoork. This is very different from the typical Euro style.

I even see the trademark Mike Tyson combination: right uppercut to the body followed by right uppercut to the head.

If Teddy Atlas can continue to work with him for a little while longer Povetkin might have a chance against the Klits. I won't say he'll beat them but he'll definitely put up more of a fight than their recent opponents did.

Atlas is a twat, Wlad and Vitali would dominate Povetkin.

Atlas is building him up to fight in a similar style to Tyson.
You don't know what you are seeing. This is not Cus D'Amato style,Povetkin still doesn't know how to bob and weaving and slip a jab to get inside.
If you don't know how to get inside against the Klitshckos you will be destroyed.
Yes,Alexander is doing good inside combinations and the basic Cus D'Amato slip drill to the 2 hooks, but there isn't a counterpunch and he loses his vision, cos he is doing it incorrectly.
Another mistake,Povetkin is circling, he is not trying to cut the ring
and provoke openings bob and weaving to get inside or looking for angles.
His head movement from outside is also bad,the foot speed is not enough, etc.
Povetkin is too green and if he fights like this he will be destroyed easily by Wlad.
Povetkin still has a lot of body fat round his belly, not acceptable from a fighter who has only 22 pounds above his height.

I have to agree with everything Atlas said, this time he is correct.

            For Munchies and Calliloyd

Sorry folks for the late response, found an inconvenient computer problem and still can't include your posts attached to my reply.

Munchies: Since I hadn`t read Teddy`s book, I don`t have the ìnsight`you do, I said I didn`t believe he was ***ish and, if his mother wasn`t, therefore according to Halacha he is NOT. besides he shows no sign of any inherited ***ishness, nor have I, in very many years watching and listening to him, have I ever heard him say or do anything which would signify differently.

***ish children inherit ***ishness through their mothers, according to ancient rabbinic dictum, since with so many persecutions, pogroms in which **** etc. would be a normal `perk`` descent was decide to be through the mother, who at LEAST, would be known, since the father might not be. Nice eh.

Calliloy`; My only error (which still may not be an error, since we don`t know who Dr. Atlas`mother was, nor Teddy`s mother) was that I had not read Teddy`s book, and otherwise know nothing about his father.

I actually know whereof I speak, contrary to your condemnation, since, for all my life, probably since your grandfather`s time, I have been an Orthodox, practicing ***, studying everything implied in that statement, and I would certainly know what I`m talking about.

Anything else you`d like to know about ******* just ask.

Another small thing I forgot to mention....

I lived for 14 years in Israel, and was involved to a certain degree in the matters i mentioned. Both the Russians and the Black Hebrews, as well as many thousands of Ethiopians (Falashas) are living in nominal rent Government subsidised cities and subdivisions (free at first, then anyway).

The most recent black (or brown) presently immigrating as we speak, are a group of about 7,000, Noth East indian frontier villagers, who claim to be the `lost`tribe of Manassah. Genetically, they actually have NO ***ish blood at all, but are convinced they have. They are in the Indian States of Manipur and Mizoram, bordering Myanmar (Burma). They call themselves Bnei Menashe (the children of Manassah)

That is, according to a(nother) VISION of their leader about 50 years ago. You should look it up, very interesting......to some of us.

Don`t forget, anything you want to know....just ask.

Povetkin is not going to be prepared to a point where he has a good shot at beating Wlad now, in a few fights, or ever.....no matter what Teddy does with him.
