He was bigger then Trinidad, DLH and Pavlik. The only guys he beat his own size were Tarver and Johnson, the other two guys(Roy Jones and Joe Calzaghe), he got beat.

I rated them evenly in terms of greatness. Hopkins has the better names, Jones has the HW title that makes him great. the question I asked was about opposition faced. Also, I said no to saying Jones has a BETTER resume, not that they can not be seen equally.

There seems to be a lot of people holding on to the idea that hopkins beat calzaghe?? Hopkins did next to nothing after the 4th round so i dont see how he could have possibly won that one

Jones was a LHW, Hopkins was not. The middleweight division has ALWAYS been a place where big WW's would fight the middleweight champ, and where the middleweight champ would eventually fight the light heavyweight champ. Hagler and Monzons bets wins came against smaller men.

Hopkins might have more "names" on his resume but most all of them had to come up in weight to beat him.

Roy might have less "names" on his resume, but he was the one who moved up in weight to beat all of them.

Bernard has 20 title defenses.

Roy is only 1 of 2 people to not JUST go from MW to HW, but to also go back down to recapture the LHW title after winning HW.

On top of the head to head match up... which Roy won.
