Even in his losses his fights has been so close, never really beat up, and you could make a case for him to have won his fights he has lost (calzaghe, Taylor etc.)

Originally posted by New Life 79 View PostTrinidad didnt look blown up to me when he crushed Joppy worsed then anyone had done or still have done today. Wright looked great in his fights before he faced Hopkins, throwing over 1000 punches before he faced Hopkins, and was ranked high pound for pound. Oscar may not have belong in the middleweight but, still a good win at age 39

Another way of looking at it is Bernard Hopkins hasn't lost decisively since 1993.
Think about that for a second.
Since 1993 he never got beat down, never took a beating in his career, never even been cut in a fight.
For a man that's been a pro for 22 years, that is absolutely phenomenal.
Name me a fighter who boxed as a pro for 22 years that can say the same.

You are leaving out Trinidad, Winky, and Pavlik?
Winky was a LMW, Hop fought him at 170.
Pavlik was a MW, Hop fought him at 170.
Hop is the most overrated piece of **** in the sport. Fight Dawson or get the **** out of this sport.

You act as if Trinidad never grew into his body. If it weren't for hopkins, trinidad would have been the unified MW champ of the world.
Pavlik was a MW, Hop fought him at 170.
Weight wasn't an issue as they are basically the exact same size (like twins). Hopkins style beat pavlik, not weight.
Jack Loew: “Kelly can get down to 163 with no problem, but the last three pounds are murder. We’re all but chopping off body parts."
Kelly Pavlik: “It’s hard for me to make 160,” he acknowledged. “With the added weight, I was able to train harder and refuel my body. My energy level is sky high. I won’t be drained. There willl be more snap on my punches because I’ll have fresh legs. I love it.”
