Ruiz has a record of 6-8-1 against opponents ranked in the top 50.

    Peter is 8-3
    Haye is 10-1
    Wlad is 20-3

    These statistics tell the story.

This doesn't tell the whole story. Especially considering Haye has only fought 3 times at heavyweight and Ruiz was screwed against Valuev at least one out of the two times they fought. Plus two of his losses were early in his career. Not everything should be held as a black mark against a fighter. I can also see 14 wins on Ruiz' resume who I would bet were against top 50 fighters.

Those stats include Haye's impressive run at cruiserweight. He's had two wins over "top 50" opponents at HW (Barrett and Valuev).

Ruiz does NOT have 14 "top 50" wins at heavyweight, that's ridiculous - he's had SIX. He had a very entertaining KO loss to David Tua though!

Ruiz sucks. He's never had a really impressive win over a decent opponent. I'm not a Haye fan, but I think he'll will knock Ruiz out - wait and see.

It's difficult not to root for anyone against John Ruiz.

And I want to see Haye-Klitschko much more than Ruiz-Klitschko.

Well since Ruiz only has 8 losses and two were against Kobezev and Nicholson, both who were in the 15 fight range at the time, I don't think its a stretch to say both Crawley and Ballard were in some organizations top 50 since they had been fighting the same type of comp and had more fights. Than there is Thunder, Golota, Oquendo, Rahman, Holy, Feliz, Tucker and at least one of the Valuev fights. That right there brings his win total up to 10. Im not so sure you can accurately make this judgment based on one organization rankings. Not really fair. Even if you do it still doesn't tell the whole story. Ruiz has been competitive in all but the Tua and Jones fights. Hardly the mark of just some bum.

that's the problem with most(not all) eastern European boxing fans...the record is so important! 99%(except povetkin)European boxers get fed a steady dose of pathetic, tomato cans to build up a record.lose once you suck, lose twice you are garbage! That is why old school boxing(2000 & before)will always be 10 times better than the present...ann Wolfe said it best! Glen Johnson is a real champion not like all the phoneys of the last decade...he has 12 loses but fought & beat Almost everyone...many experts say most if his losses were bad decisions...guys like gatti & ward(12 losses)were men.dimitrenko loses to chambers & 90% of eastern European boxing fans on this site called him the next one...LOL! He loses to chambers & he's a forgotten fighter like yesterdays news...he's got 1 loss so he's ****! Guys in their heavyweight primes like Tyson, lennox,Holyfield,Ali,Frazier, foreman will always be gods while guys of today like the klitschkos(who are living off the 90's scraps & 2000's garbage)will always be flavor of the month afterthoughts in a terribly watered down division.it's a shame more nuthuggers don't appreciate a good brawl instead of a onesided drubbing! Heavyweight boxing is a joke but it's the only division I actually like other than the prizefighters at other weights.
