    Not so.

According to BILD Andre Direll's promotor Gary Shaw has, like his US compatriot Joe Goosen, made arrangements so that both the referee and one of the judges is from Direll's homestate of Michigan. One of the other judges is the mexican who had Direll as winner in his close encounter with Carl Froch in Nottingham.

The final judge is Gino Cavalleri. Both sides agree on him.

The rules in the super six are as follows:
hometown advantage by Andre Ward? I hope you as a Kessler fan don't agree with that cause Kessler got his ass beat and school plain and simple... As for Dirrell he got robbed fo'reals in the UK but he's gonna school Abraham this Saturday

I don't remember my exact scorecard. It's been a while, since I've seen the fight.

I asked because it's so laughable when people score a fight 7-5 to guy A and then cry ROBBERY if guy B gets the decision. I hate that. They can call it controversial or debateable but never a robbery.

If you wanna know why people call it a robbery, just watch the fight with the sound off and score it.

I do agree with your logic, though. If a fight is close, then I don't consider it a robbery. But this fight wasn't close and far from 7-5.

Well that depends on the rounds to be fair. If 7 of the rounds were quite clearly won by one fighter and the other guy ends up getting the decision I think it's fair to cry robbery. Sometimes rounds can be subjective but I wouldn't say many were in the Froch-Dirrell fight, as Froch was out-landed by wide margins (and basically just plodded and flailed around like a ******) in well over 6 rounds.

For the record I scored it 9-2 for Dirrell with one round equal (the one where he was deducted a point).

I did, but I knew the result beforehand so it's not credible. I knew that it was a close fight and I knew that Froch had gotten the nod. Therefore I scored it so that all the rounds that could have gone either way I scored for Froch and only the clear-cut rounds Dirrell won I scored for him.

That ended up with a lopsided decision for Froch in my scoring....

So my estimate is that had I scored the fight live, as I often do here on NSB, I would have had it a close fight.

Exactly. Thats one of the most annoying things about his board. A robbery is when one guy DOMINATES the fight and then gets jobbed i.e Funeka vs Guzman.

Well, I don't get that. I don't let the official result effect my scoring, after already knowing it.
