      Yeah, that makes sense.
Which is why in the rematch they fought to a competitive decision...

Before beating Hopkins, he was average. When he beat Hopkins, he was average...BUT he was looked at as above average. Taylor is remembered as the guy who beat Bernard Hopkins, nothing more, nothing less. After Hopkins, he fought two JMW, Winky, then got KOd. Two of those win were controversial. He was never that good to begin with, just a fighter who had Hopkins number by being more active.

I still have big respect for JT cos he's rarely ever in a bad fight, he's not afraid of anybody & he is a warrior IMO.
I agree with this post. BUT, IMHO, Steward ruined Taylor!

If he ruined him with the KO, why did he not then have an easier time beating him in the rematch, and KO him?

Sorry but thats what happens when you win big fights=You get big fights.Beating hopkins not once but twice is something no one can say in boxing other than Taylor. If he (Taylor) wasn't that good like you say,he wouldn't have beatin B-Hop twice.
Hopkins was the best fighter that Taylor fought in his career,so how did his competition get better?

You are missing the point. Though we can both agree styles make fights, his win against Hopkins were more impressive than Spinks, Wright, and Ouma. All of which are not better than Hopkins on any level. Taylor beat Hopkins because he was more active with a better trainer. Unfortunately beating Hopkins put him in a space he wasn't ready for because if he was, he would have dominated or convincingly beat average opponents. Taylor didn't get better, he was going off natural ability.
