The knockout saw Pavlik unload with power shots as Taylor was trapped against the ropes. Taylor was out cold as he slumped to the mat and the ref waved off the fight. [Click Here To Read More]

Jermain fought the best out there, what more can you ask for. I'm assuming you feel this way because he got decisions against Hopkins. I like Taylor, but he was never that good to begin with.

I think 24 rounds with B.Hop had ALOT to do with Jermain's troubles.....he was having problems BEFORE the Pavlik fight imo.....in fact Pavlik himself has a tombstone with his name on it in the Executioner's graveyard

if anyone ruined taylor its hopkins, i think taylor feels he lost those fights and its hurt his confidence. it kind of halted his progress, he had the same physical tools but bcuz of doubts mentally he couldnt evolve.

he was having major troubles before he fought pavlik, and i personally think he looked better after although not always coming out on top. he won the pavlik rematch imo and he was fighting a great fight against froch too, just that stamina problem from losing too much weight too fast. against abraham he was healthy and fought a very good fight aswell, but just got caught by the biggest puncher out there.

pavlik hasnt ruined taylor but it think abraham might have. hopefully hopkins ruined pavlik, i used to be a fan but im sick of his dumb comments.

I agree totally with the bold.....but I think Jermain could've came to Germany way before he did......he flew in about 7 days before the fight.....he himself admitted he didn't feel strong as normal.

A few guys contributed to Taylor's collapse. Pavlik can take some credit but not all of it.

You guys are biased as hell. Pavlik did ruin Taylor, not Hopkins. Just because you don't like Pavlik doesn't mean you can discredit him like that. Pavlik ruined him and also the fact that JT finally stepped it up and fought a bunch of heavy hitters to end his career. Hopkins feather fists have never ruined any fighter. Style wise he made Pavlik look like a bum but he didn't ruin him and will probably go on to kayo Martinez. I hate Pavlik by the way but the way BHOP is talked about on these forums makes me sick.

Pavlik did ruin Bad Intentions mentally, he's never looked even close to the same - in fight II he fought just to finish 12, not to win - sad, I love JT.

Hopkins nor Pavlik ruined Taylor. Taylor ruined himself. He simply got bored and did not even like being in the sport. Once he won the title it simply became a job he did not like.

Pavlik simply cemented that thought. Taylor then tried to get the old spark back, but fell short. I would not say Pavlik ruined Taylor, but he certainly took advantage of his lack of desire. So Pavlik did take something from him, but Taylor was already damaged goods IMO.
