destroy Mayweather, then it would have been Floyd in the ring
on the 13th, not Clottey. Didn't Roach say March was too soon
for Manny to get prepared for Floyd? Why don't you get off Pac's
nuts and Fantasy Island at the same time because Pac ain't going to
Massacre nothing because he didn't want it in the first place. Picture
me believing that a man afraid of needles or being weakened two
weeks before a fight could massacre Floyd Mayweather Jr. If
Mosley/Mayweather Jr does way more than Pac/Clottey in which
I am sure it will, then there is no way Floyd makes it 50/50 because
Arum's whole argument was that Pac did bigger numbers with Cotto
than Floyd did with Marquez. If Mosley wins then he will want 50/50
for sure or more because he would have handed Floyd his first loss.
For the record, I have no problem giving Pac his props and have before
but I think you have a problem giving Floyd his.

the only thing Floyd asked for? He agreed to everything that
Pac asked, even the $ split with no problem at all. Floyd wanted
one thing and Pac made it seem like he smacked Pac's moms and
on top of that, Floyd agreed to the same tests, so how can that
be accusing Pac of anything? I am a boxing fan and I think the
sport of boxing in a whole needs a new face because look at how
everything is going wrong with the sport. Corrupt judges robbing
fighters of well deserved wins and how many boxers already got
caught cheating? What Floyd is asking is not so far fetch or
unbelievable. What was unbelievable is the fact that Pac made
all of these bull**** excuses on why not to take the tests and
is trying to sue the Mayweathers but at the same time continue
to talk about fighting Floyd? If Pac feelings were really hurt
he wouldn't even be affiliating with Floyd at all, or mention him because
in actuality, all he is doing is hyping up Mosley/Mayweather Jr. I am
not fooled. If Floyd would have done this bull**** I would call
him out too and so would YOU, so don't act like I'm bias because your
cosigning Pac not fighting Floyd because you feel that the blood tests
were wrong to ask for? Sorry buddy but I can't cosign that especially
since the random tests are good for the sport.

700K are very impressive numbers considering that it was just Pac's name that carried the promotion plus there was hardly any help from HBO in hyping the fight. There was no 24/7, and the fact had to be made almost in the last minute due to the fallout of the Pac/May negotiations and Pac's intention to run for congress. Although the fight being staged in the Dallas Stadium did help. Factor in that the fight sold 50K tickets then it validates Pac being a crossover star.
It guarantees Pac at least another 20 Million payday since he will be receiving 90% of the PPV revenue, share of the gate, and TV rights to world wide broadcast of the fight.
It does raise a possibility that Pac might not need Floyd after all. I mean the fans want to see a Floyd/Pac of course, that is why they will try to negotiate.
But as far Team Pac's or Top Rank's they can still make ****loads of money without putting up with Floyds antics so expect them not try so hard as the last time. I am not sure if this is good or bad though..Last edited by mikemurni; 03-20-2010, 11:44 AM.

It has been an over a week since this fight took place and the numbers still have not been released by HBO. That tells me that this fight BOMBED on PPV and Arum is trying to delay the release of the numbers. I would be that they probably had less than 300,000 buys.

They made the whole environment hostile and antagonistic. You won't understand because you were not Pacquiao. Pacquiao doesn't owe anybody any excuse. He knows he's clean. If he did make excuses, then that's his way of reacting to it. An average person would have reacted furiously, forget about boxing temporarily, and pursued the whole thing in court just to clear his name. Somehow people like you are not bothered by the nasty accusations. Why? It's likely that you don't think Pac has every right, earned every right if fact, to reject those mother**** demands.
choice and free will to do so but my whole thing is why? I just
think and this is my opinion that if Manny really felt disrespected
he would not still be talking about fighting Floyd. Floyd agreed
to undergo the same random testing as Pac, so is he saying that
he is also on steroids? Anyone could be using doesn't matter
how many times that they came up clean. I know a lil something
about business and dealing with corporate people and one thing
I know is that they don't care about BS but only about making money.
We probably will never see eye to eye on this issue but speaking
from my point of view, I would much rather take the tests, come
out clean, get in the ring and try to beat Floyd's face in for the
accusations and then sue him after the fact because it
makes more sense. Pac can do whatever he wants and more
power to him but Pac has made some off the wall demands as
well, like for instance, fighting for a WW championship title at
145 and forcing the guy to almost get stripped if he didn't do so
and Pac was just the challenger. Then defending the belt at 147?
People act like Pac is an angel but the moves he made in negotiations
have always been in his best interest and favor so why can't Floyd
do the same? Anyways I will not discuss about this anymore with
you only wish that we get to see them fight in the near to distant future.

if you were being accused of **** in america (pac being accused of being a steroid user) by a crazy scared paranoid b*tch (floyd mayweather & company), you go to court & is found innocent, the crazy b*tch takes a **** test & fails (pacquiao has passed all steroid tests required by your sport & there isnt a single shred of evidence that pac is roiding or connected to steroid use), would you still jump through hoops & be dictated to by that person?
I know i wont & i know pac wont.
