If the other fight ( Mosely and Mayweather) does anything over 1 million the 50,000 is BS especilly after costs.

If I could only see one of the two fights, I would see Mosely vs Mayweather which is a fight between two of the best WW in the last decade. That is the ****ing truth. The PPV numbers will demonstrate that it is a fact, thus making it REALITY.

pacqiuao is a draw no matter who he fights!700 thousand ppv buys tells you alot about pacqiuaos drawing power!mayweather needs to fight a star top fighter in order to draw,if mayweather would of fought clotty nobody would of supported it like they did for pacqiaou.only 250 thousand would of watched mayweather vs clotty.this tells you clearly that pacquiao is the draw! 700 thousand ppv buys tells you pacqiuao is a huge draw by himself,with out fighting a star!wake up gayweather fans!!

to you all i can say is look at the head to head ppv numbers. i dont think this event was under promoted. they did all they could to boost this crappy product. plus pac gets plenty of free feel good promos. dont under estimate bob arum the man is good at what he does.

Pac sold everyone of those tickets. This wasn't like Floyd JMM where they had to push the fight back 2.5 months because of a fake injury (Floyd's rib hahaha) promote the **** out of it with 24/7, being in movie theaters and landing it on the mexican independence day. And the fight still couldn't sell out the MGM. There was hardly any marketing or promoting for this fight and it still did very well because Pac is a ****ing rockstar.

funny that you use jmm as a comparison. since floyd vs jmm did better than pacs two fights with jmm. look it up.

This is the more likely explanation for the delay in releasing the numbers, it's common sense really, when you have a great PPV total you announce it as early as possible and declare victory. The fact that "Top Rank" hasn't done that says the final total was probably a disappointment. Bob Arum is a business man, I wish fans of the sport would understand that, he isn't a fight fan in the same sense we are, so if he has to fudge some numbers here or there so his top fighter won't potentially lose some of the bargaining leverage or the luster that comes with being Manny Pacquiao then he'll do it. Arum isn't a watchdog for the sport so he isn't always going to employ the more scrupulous of tactics.

Besides, in the end, the numbers are irrelevant in my humble opinion to the irrationality of the Mayweather and Pacquiao fans. A good rivalry between competitors and fans is stimulating and even fun. But when I come to these boards to read about my favorite sport, fans from either the Mayweather or Pacquiao camps seem to be determine to ridicule each other and name-call rather than relying on cogent reasoning and objective fact to make their points.

Boxing has a storied tradition filled with amazing athletes and dedicated fans, it's a shame to see so much ignorance and blind hatred. Mayweather and Pacquiao are carrying a heavy load on their shoulders right now because they're both sensational fighters with large fan bases. In many ways the little guys are carrying the sport of boxing. As a fan I'm just glad to have these two around because if they weren't, some great fighters, fights and perhaps even the sport would be in the shadows once again.

Man, I come on these sites everyday and it's the same old crap. The funny thing is that if you go to the comments of a story about either fighter you'll see more comments from those who hate the fighter than from the fans! If you don't like the guy then stop wasting your time reading and commenting about him, i've never seen grown men so obssessed with people they say they don't like! Honestly, I think PBF fans are closet Pac fans, and Pac fans are closet PBF fans.

And Pac has 9-1 Share in PPV profits. His $12M + 90% of PPV Profits, that's alot of money against a No name opponents.

so we get to the truth. clottey goes from a "tough guy" and a real threat to pac to a no name fighter. even though he has fought the likes of cotto, margarito, and judah. plus people can from ghana to support clottey and enjoyed the fan friendly ticket pricing. i say again bob arum is good at what he does. he has positioned pac very well. and got him plenty of good publicity. the cover of time and covers on multiple boxing mags. and good morn america. good job by arum. you can hate him for the gangster he is but he gets the job done.

That's wha'ts wrong with so called "boxing fans" nowadays man, they don't care about facts. They would rather make something up, or spit out some rumor they heard without doing any research to find out if it's true. I like boxing(which is why I like both PBF and Pac), but the nonsense you see these nut huggers of either fighter make up is comical. And don't mention any facts that don't make their Idol look good, soon as that happens you're labeled a "hater" although you back it up with documentation or video. They catch feelings quick, like they just got off the phone with PBF or Pac, it's really sad.
