I am sure it will, then there is no way Floyd makes it 50/50 because
Arum's whole argument was that Pac did bigger numbers with Cotto
than Floyd did with Marquez. If Mosley wins then he will want 50/50
for sure or more because he would have handed Floyd his first loss.
For the record, I have no problem giving Pac his props and have before

Pacquiao is a great fighter but is not a top 10 ATG like some posters proclaim. He made a name of himself at featherweight against fighters that were past their prime like Morales & Barrera. Now comes a guy that is older than Pacquiao yet not past his prime in Juan Manuel Marquez. In these fights Pacquiao showed his biggest weakness as a fighter due to his inablility to change gameplans and adapt to the fighter that counterpunced him and timed his offensive attack. Pacquioa surprised Marquez in the first round with his strength and speed, unfortunately that was his best round of his two fights with Marquez. After the first round of Marquez vs Pacquiao I, Marquez clearly outboxed and out hit Pacquiao including power shots the remaining 23 rounds. Yes Pacquiao had one or two big rounds after this, but that amounts to three rounds out of 24 rounds. The truth is that in the second fight in which Pacquiao was given a gift that amounted to the Super Featherweight title, just about all the respected fight analysts gave the fight to Marquez. Heck even Philipino fans & fight analysts and the Philipino fighter (nonito donaire) gave the fight to Marquez.
This is when the BS started, all the cherry picking, weight draining BS hyping crap. Yet no Mosely, Mayweather or slick fighters, not even Marquez. I bet you that Pacquioa pees in his underwear when he dreams of Marquez after the devastating body shots and counterpunches to the face.
At Lightweight he fought David Diaz, another belt Whoppee. The guy is the best, he fights the best...........yeah right.

Floyd and Pacquiao are the 2 top draws in the sport obviously as this threads arguments have pointed out lol but the 1 mil for mayweather/marquez also had the story point that Mayweather was making his Grand return from an almost 2 year retirement. Over History, Returns of Big Name fighters have always sold well (Ray Leonard, Felix Trinidad,every Mike tyson etc.) and add all the buildup from 24/7 and the Marquez name and p4p Ranking (also Pacquiaos name) and it almost automatically inflates the numbers. Because even if the casual fan hears that 1. Mayweather ended his retirement, 2. hes fighting an all time great Mexican (regardless of weight difference) and 3.that this guy came close to beating Manny pacquiao, they will surely want to tune in.
So Manny doing 700K with a lot less promotion, a guy the average person has never even heard of, and no real drought in between fights shows that people definitely are willing to pay to see this man, REGARDLESS.
I feel that if mayweather didnt retire, the marquez fight would not have reached a million but still would have been a major success
These guys are 1-2 at the box office. 1-2 pound for pound.

Manny up like he did something spectacular more than every other
boxer is not on his level is ridiculous. Manny is definitely an action
fighter that entertains. Can't deny that at all but I feel his biggest
test so far has been JMM both times. I admit that I underestimated
him or had a lil doubt against the others because of size and ate my
words but would like to see him in with a Mayweather and or Mosley
because to me that will show how good he really is. Manny hasn't
fought anyone on that level yet. How can so many believe that
Manny is the ATG when he didn't even fight Floyd and or Shane
yet? Reality is (No Pun intended) that Manny and or Roach didn't

I just want to see your proof that MAB had a brain operation three weeks before the fight with Pacquiao. Really? Texas commission approved that a fighter who had brain surgery can fight 3 weeks after the operation.
