IMO, he's elusive in a different way. He takes very few clean punches these days.
The Pac who lost to Torrecampo in the first 13 months of his career as a high school age kid was MUCH farther from the fighter today than Wlad, just shy of eight years into his career and in his mid-20s as a former Gold Medalist is from today's version. Wlad ain't really that different. He just hasn't seen any legit pressure guys (not sure there are any).

Perhaps, but that would presume that working with one of the best trainers in the game has done nothing to improve him. I thought Wlad was doing pretty well against Brewster until he gassed out.

And I'm still confused how he got counted out since he went down after the bell.

It was a TKO, not a KO. Referee stopped it while Klitschko was dragging himself back to the corner.

Good list Cliff. My one problem would be with Evander. As great a warrior as he has been I just don't see a place in the top 10 for him.

Ok Mike Tyson and George Foreman probably were stronger than Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano...
Sure Tyson and Foreman had better training methods, stronger bodies and maybe more developed technique, but that MEANS NOT they were GREATER FIGHTERS.
Maybe all half-finalists of olympic 100 m in Beijing olympics were greater than JESSE OWENS cause he run the distance in 10"30 while they did in less than 10"?

Manny Pacquaio lost to Torrecampo for a low blow:

Wlad Klitschko never fought the heavy likes of Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Hatton and Cotto that the Philippino fought (and won)...
I think Klitschko brothers can be in top 25 heavies of all times, but no in high rank...
Ken Norton is 24 on Rold's list altough he won a match with Alì (I) and had very very close matches against the same Alì (II & III) and Holmes, cause he was kayoed by Foreman, Shavers and Cooney...
Where u can put Wlad Klitschko who was kayoed by Puritty, Sanders and Brewster (see the difference!) and never fought the likes of Ali and Holmes?
Better Vitali, but strangely his best performances were in his 2 losses (Byrd and Lewis): the rest of his foes were not comparable to the competition that the 25 of Rold' lists fought...

I think a young Patterson could have beaten an old Marciano, but I don't think Patterson could have beaten Marciano in 1951 or 52. Patterson would have beat him the same way Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe destroyed Marciano.

Marciano was crude but he figured out a way to get inside a jabber's guard. He managed to beat slick, skillful Bernard Hopkins type fighters (unlike Pavlik against Hopkins).

Very entertaining read. Though I think Tyson should be in the top 10 at least. But I won't argue the point to much.
