Modern training methods and modern diet. People are several inches taller on average now than they were in 1900, due to changes in diet.Comment

klitchskos should be at least top 15...and tyson top 10....i mean can you imagen jack demsey fighting a klitchsko or tyson. i love watching demseys old fights on youtube as well but best to list him as top 5 light heavy.
also i would rate the best heavyweight as the guy would would win the most fights against the best opposition in my heart of hearts foreman, marciano, tyson, and probably the best klichtsko.Comment

By Cliff Rold - For any new boxing fan, the time is not long before a fellow fan points out a magic number which grows more mythologized with time: eight. As in boxing’s original eight weight classes. The number represents in the mind of many a time when the sport was compressed into fields which couldn’t help but be talented, couldn’t help but draw crowds, because there were so few places on the scale to go. They were divisions marked by single champions ever challenged by a depth of contenders today’s seventeen weight classes rarely know. [Click Here To Read More]
Uff.
Another guy who is deluded by the term "heavyweight".
How can you put Marciano in the same list like Ali? In Marciano's times they didn't have the term "Cruiserweight" so they called it "Heavyweight". But Marciano has had no single real heavyweight fight (= both fighters 200+ lbs).
Stop deluding yourself. Marciano was a cruiser fighting cruiser bums. If you put Dempsey on the list (median weight was 187) you should also put Roy Jones on that list. Dempsey was only involved 1 time in his career in a real heavyweight fight: Against 0-6-0 bum Tom Riley.
Featherfist Joe Frazier (with only 18 heavyweight fights of which 4 were lost, and some other were against bums) should also not make it into the Top 10....
Idiotic list.Comment

I just checked in to see reactions to Klitschko's last fight.
The haters get quieter and quieter everytime Klitschko wins. The trend towards pro-Klitschko started approx. after the Calvin Brock fight. It has continued since.
Add to it the fact that no other boxer in history has more amount of heavyweight-KO-footage than Klitschko then and you will see how in a few years it will be the consensus that Klitschko is far greater than Muhammad "see-my-sig" Ali.
The more one tries to deny it the more foolish ne will look after the next Klitschko win.Last edited by knn; 03-25-2010, 01:00 PM.Comment

Wladimir's two best wins are over cruiserweight-sized Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers, that's a fact.Comment
