    Pac/Clottey = 700K-900K buys?????

Towards the bottom part of the article....if true....not bad for for "1 dance partner".....but not good for negotiating with Floyd.

Pretty amazing if true. Doubtful Floyd could exceed that with an opponent like Clottey.

Pac already has impressive numbers in the Hatton and Cotto fights to negotiate with.

"Despite its shameful reviews, Pacquiao vs. Clottey promoter Bob Arum said he expects the event to do between 700,000 and 900,000 pay-per-view buys (a mark the UFC rarely reaches), which will make the headliners wealthy men. "

He just said thats what he expects.

Kevin Iole guessed 700K on his twitter page 2 days ago. Anything above 700K is a huge success.

Impressive yes....but Floyd's numbers were still better (economy excuse or not)...bottom line...Floyd will always use those two fights' PPV#s for negotiations.

Floyd doubled Pac's numbers with Marquez and DLH and sold 100k more than he did with Hatton.
Assuming Pac does 800k with Clottey, which is a good number, and then compare that with the 1 plus million Mayweather Mosley will do and its no good for negotiations.

                  Considering Pac's opponent.....yes.

I wonder if Floyd could've gotten 700K-900K buys against Clottey....I know for a fact he wouln't have gotten 50K+ to fill the stadium up...you need a following to fill up at the gate...
