Why Does Manny Get a Pass for Cherry Picking Opponents?

Who said anything about Manny being past prime? Pac is the best boxer in the world and he's still in his prime.
Are you seriously going to compare a boxer who is still in his prime to a boxer who clearly had nothing left?
Floyd gets full credit if he beats Pacquiao because Pac is still in his prime, #1 p4p, etc.Comment

Floyd fought a ballooned up Marquez that was slow compared to at 130Here's the difference. You and I? Are opinions are irrelevant. By ROACH'S OWN ADMISSION, meaning the words cams straight out of Roach's mouth, that Cotto, DLH, and Hatton were either shot or past their prime.
I don't even know why you mentioned JMM. In both fights it can be argued that JMM won(especially the first), and Floyd dominated the man.
Morales was shot and past his prime, coming off a loss to a journeyman in Raheem.
We've already been over Clottey. No one expected Clottey to pose much of a threat.
Diaz was on the decline.
etc, etc, etc.
Again, Manny isn't above criticism.
Roach says a bunch of stuff like Pac would KO Clottey but I knew that was not gonna happen, Clottey had never been stopped. I mentioned JMM because I was trying to point out that the names on Pac's resume was more impressive than Mayweathers. He is on both of their resumes but I don't even consider Money's fight with JMM a legit bout due to the circumstances. The names on Pac's resume are more memorable and identifiable than the ones on Mayweather's resume (to most people).
An argument can be made that both Pac and May fought over the hill guys later in their careers
And again, as noted in my prior post, I never said Manny was above criticism. You are just as entitled to your opinion as I am, mine simply differs from yours a little.

It has nothing to do with age. So everyone is shot at the same age? How about we compare the wars erik had been in. What about the fact that erik could barely even stand up because he was drained? Compare b hop and erik. Why didnt b hop become washed up at 29? Think about it for a minute.....Comment

Oscar wasn't a quality opponent, Hatton had been ruined since the Mayweather fight, and Cotto's career was ruined by Margarito. Roach agrees with every point I just made, so much so that he said so himself. Its been said many times that Pac 'cherry picks' (i watch too much **** and thought of teen sluts).
Open ya eyes **** face!
Pac chooses quality opponents. Hatton, Cotto and Clottey and Oscar were all quality and because Manny is so aggressive and they were bigger and also aggressive it was a dangerous for him but also very entertaining.
Lets give the little tiger some ****ing credit.
The man keeps fighting bigger tougher men.
Who expected anything less than what happened last saturday? I wish people would stop acting as if Clottey was some huge challenge for Pac. We all knew what was going to happen in that fight.Comment

Barrera had been through two hellacious wars with Morales by the time of his first fight with Pac. He was never the same after that.Comment

Laccano was a washed up 135lber he wasn't a contender. If Hatton fought Bradley in November 2008 instead of Malignaggi he would have been destroyed.Completely ridiculous, there is absolutely no basis to compare the two situations. Hatton was undefeated and the clear best at 140 when he left to fight Collazo and Floyd, and after losing to Floyd went back down and beat two more contenders, including dominating and stopping one of the better fighters in the division at the time, Paulie Malignaggi. How in the hell is there any connection between that and Carlos Baldomir?
Baldomir beat Judah who was the #1 guy at 147 and Gatti who was washed up. So at the time Floyd Baldomir he was the man if Hatton was the man atn 140.Comment

How are you going to compare a young fighter who was reaching his potential to a fighter who had been in multiple wars and was shot?Originally posted by tanibananaMorales was not in his best.. okay.. well records don't write if they are still in his prime of not.. because, Pac can have an argument, that he was still green back then, it seems Pac just reach his prime after Morales trilogy.. so basically, both fighters did fight each others when both are not in their primes, which means equal grounds..Comment

Are you serious? This has to be the ******est reply i've ever seen on the subject. You really think that it was equal grounds because a fighter was already at the end of his career and a fighter who was just starting it?Originally posted by tanibananaMorales was not in his best.. okay.. well records don't write if they are still in his prime of not.. because, Pac can have an argument, that he was still green back then, it seems Pac just reach his prime after Morales trilogy.. so basically, both fighters did fight each others when both are not in their primes, which means equal grounds..
