It seems like thats there fan base and it really hasn't picked up much momentum. Also, boxing is cheap to partake in and will always be the worlds sport. It's like soccer v football. Soccer will always be number 1 due to the fact it is cheap as hell.
Fact is the UFC is generating alot of interest around the world and its becoming alot more technical than it was 10 years ago, like Roach said the younger generation will be more interested in MMA than boxing unless the promoters get their act together and start entertaining the people again. PPV for the UFC on average are 450,000 and the their big cards generate around 950,000 and they have events every month and in some cases twice a month... so you do the math, if anything its gaining alot more momentum.

Their last Card was held in Australia's Acer arena sold out 25,000 seats in less than an hour, i know because i tried to get some online.

Also, Soccer is not the world's number 1 sport because its cheap... thats possibly the ******est statement ive ever heard. It's number 1 because its the most loved, the Soccer world Cup in the most watched event in the whole world when its on, no other event in history generates more viewers.

When I met Tyson on Sunday, he said he likes MMA better than boxing because the best fighters fight eachother.

How many MMA fighters have went into Boxing and became successful?

The money at the top of Boxing is much better than what any MMA fighter could earn. Clottey is a little higher than a gate keeper and he made 3.5 million taking a 90-10 split or something like that. If an MMA fighter could make it in Boxing, they surely would try.

On the flip side, there are guys that went into MMA who have boxing backgrounds, but just didn't make the cut.

A Boxer will at the least always have a puncher's chance in MMA. **** everyone has a puncher's chance in MMA.

          Yeah a 0.5% chance.

It was funny how Dana White offered Floyd Mayweather out to fight then Light weight champion Sean Sherk, after all the smack he was talking about MMA yet he ducked a very good opportunity to prove millions wrong. It's just funny how Champion boxers diss MMA but never test themselves, only the washed up boxers give it a go... they got nothing to lose.

MMA=Mixed Martial Arts sport. UFC=Ultimate Fighting Championship. That's just the name of a company that promotes MMA events.

The same thing can be said about Boxers. MMA athletes come from all sport backgrounds. Wrestling, Boxing, Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and on and on.

God you are so full of ****. Seriously.

MMA? It's UFC. Understand the difference. MMA is NOT popular worldwide. It has failed in Japan. It has failed in Europe.

It is popular in England, USA, Canada and now Australia. Its not even wildly popular in Brazil or Russia contrary to myths. And in THose four main countries UFC Is the ONLY MMA anyone cares about. No one watches other brands.

Now on top of that: Soccer is the most popular because its the cheapest easiest sport to play for all countries. Many noted sports historians have said this.

Finally and lastly you know when Dana challenged Floyd, Kermit Cintron stepped up and like that GIANT ****ING ***** he is, Dana ducked Cintrons challenge.

How come Dana ducked RJJRs MMA challenge to Silva.

Get your facts correct before defending your white trash UFC organization. And the fact that washed up boxers only try UFC should tell you about the payouts between the two sports.

UFC fans are brainwashed by that lying piece of **** Dana. And as long as they are they'll continue to spread bull**** and myths like the above.

                      No not really.

There are tons of stories about people like GSP who didn't even compete in wrestling at the HS or College level IIRC, but he just became a beast.

There are not an awful lot of stories of people who went on to Box later on, and become insanely good at it. Most Boxers have the same or similar story. 12 year old kid that used boxing as an escape, or just some random little kid that walked by a boxing gym everyday and just decided to try it.
