Watch the fight again. Actually Pacquioa's work rate and frequency of punches is preventing Clottey to punch back therefore he would occasionally stand in front of him and gesturing to punch back...

If not, then you should watch it again and dissect it again. Then compare it to Clottey's statement after the fight.

Until professional boxing institutes a scoring system that measures the "legal and effective scoring blows" like in amateur boxing - this is a pointless discussion.

it wasnt really for discussion..any person with decent vision saw clottey landing the meaningful punches..the ones that made ur head snap or take a step back...theres no discussion in that..its 100% true.

i gave clottey 2 of the first 3 rounds, but after round 4, i just couldn't justify giving him any more.....

i gave clottey easily 2 in the last 4 rounds where he had manny seeing the sky with those uppercuts and str8 rights...but he lost 3 thru 8 or 9 for sure with his no punching back ass..lol

This is a horrible argument because the bad % by pac was mostly due to his jabs. He threw a ton of jabs and most of them landed on his guard, but that was done on purpose. Pac threw 549 jabs and landed only 14 (3%).

Pac landed 35% of his power shots (232 out of 682), that's what counts. Clottey landed 82 out of 273 power shots.

and those "power" shot stats are ridiculous..they count even if he partially lands or just grazes clottey..no way Pac even landed more than 5 clean flush power shots..

only on boxingscene where you have people finding a way that PAC lost last Saturday

Do you not count all those body shots that apparently had Clottey spitting up blood? Did you just decide nothing that Pac landed was meaningful? He landed more than 200 punches. He dominated Clottey to the point Clottey wouldn't even throw a f***ing punch. Why do so many of you look at punch percentage in a fight like this when it is meaningless?

im not lookin at stats..im lookin at thefight i saw in person homie..**** the stats...i went with 3 other people and not 1 of us saw a meaningful hard punch landed by pac..not 1 lol

if you look at the punchstats yea but if you watch the fight it doesn't look like manny was landin anything not even the body shots only when he would throw about 8 punches up top than shoot a quick body shot to the abs and that was only about 4 times per round.punchstats always give manny to much credit look at the hatton fight there was no way manny landed 77 punches in the 2 rounds of that fight

Clottey I think might be still pissing blood now those body punches were nasty. And for the 100th time pac let clottey hit him. Those uppercuts landed when pac would just stand in front of clottey encouraging him to open up. If clottey opened up more he would have been stopped no doubt about it.

i dont know why people cant understand this.. pac threw a bunch of jabs thats not meant to connect. he was trying to open clottey's shell up. it only takes a quarter of a brain to understand this concept.

Blocking and keeping on a tight turtle defense all night cannot win the fight...

So if clottey had thrown 3-5 punches per round and they mostly land so he would have Had an 90-95% connect ratio then he would have won every round because it doesn't matter that manny had thrown well over a 100 per round and was landing 20-30 a round. It's all about the connect ratio.... NSB gets worse every day

It sure does but its more a testament to how great Pac really is that he is held to such a high standard now to a point where he can literally shut a bigger opponent out due to how petrified he already was of Pac before the fight started so he resolved to just not be ko'd by Pac........and still ppl find room to be critical of Pac for having a few shots landed on him by a top level opponent in the weight class he is competing in.
