but due to his inactivity..he lost the "boxing match"...
due to his inactivity, he didn't get hit with meaningful punches.

I see what you are saying but there was a reason he wasn't throwing back. He repeatedly told his trainer he did not want to throw more punches because he was too fast and I think he also stated that he hit too hard. Something had to have gotten through on him but I do see what you are saying, I don't know how reliable compubox is

            This.

At the risk of being red K'd. I've noticed whenever Manny fights Compubox counts much of what he throws as an effective punch when in reality if you watch the fights in slow mo or re watch them his activity gives the impression of effectiveness. I think I was more impressed at times by Clottey blocking everything Pac threw than Pac himself. That said, the dude overwhelms people, he's a machine.

i don't remember clottey tellin his traineer anything but in the post interview he did say manny was face thats why he didn't throw as much because it was hard to find the openings with pacquiao's speed but he also said he didn't feel manny's power at all

Even Clottey admitted that he lost fair and square, so I don't know where these people are coming from saying Pac lost. Dumbest crap I've heard lately.

First of all, you are basing your logic on the stat sheet at the END of the fight. It shouldn't be.

One of the main reason Clottey can't open up is the persistent barrage of volume punches from Pacquiao. He simply couldn't open up while not having the techniques to overcome it.

Also one of the main reason that Pacquiao got hit is that it is by design for Clottey to open up. Pacquiao was letting Clottey hit him inorder to expose his SHELL DEFENSE and that is why we saw potshots....from a closed position.

Should CLottey open up as you have said, then Pacquiao's % would certainly go up because Clottey is then more hittable.
