The bottom line is Mosley fights the way he always has and that won't change no matter who he has in his corner. Bernard Hopkins showed what happens when a really good puncher steps into the ring with a maserful defensive boxer when he broke Tito Trinidad down bit by bit over rounds. Mayweather's fightin style is the closest thing to Hopkins that's out there. Mayweather will put on the performance of a lifetime becaue he knows this fight with Mosley will be his ticket to a mega payday.
you are a bit out of reality here my friend. shane has adapted many a time and as recent as his last fight. you cant go by rumor or heresay by everyone on these boards. watch fights for yourself, very few boxers dont attempt to adjust during a fight, some are just able to adjust more than their opponents.
hopkins is a defensive fighter and so is floyd but their styles are very different. bhop is not a pure shoulder role boxer and he rarely throws punches leaning for falling backwards as floyd does.
a good similarity is their punch output and this is what concerns me for floyd since he is 33 and bhop is 45.
being prepared for mosley and being active enough to win rounds pot shotting are two different things.
the only way floyd wins this is by fighting his heart out.
i dont see him being active enough pot shotting against shanes activity.
see in this fight he will be against a legit 147lber with good pop, speed and agility. jmm was 140 and floyd weighed 18 lbs more. he will not have a size, reach, 3 inch height advantage over shane.
plus floyd is 33 now, far past his prime as well like shane and inactive retiring twice for the last 5 years.

if shane is so money hungry why didnt he take a few fights this last year instead of holding out on the elite fights? sure an elite fight would make more money, but a few fights for a few mill is more than nothing and for a money hungry greedy person as you assumed, this is what one would do...right?
Shane is hurting for money because believe you and me his divorce took a nice chunk out of his wallet. He lives in California which is a community property state not to mention he has young children still. His ex not only cleaned him out but she is entitled to a percentage of his future purses. It sucks but its just the way family law plays. He was married long enough for his ex to even get a percentage of his social security. Its unfortunate but when these athletes and etertainers get married and they enter into their peak earning years their souse is entitled to a part of that money. It does not pay to be married without a prenup when you are in these guys position.

It would have been pointless for Shane to just take fights and make little to no money and risk being beat by an up and comer with relatvely low money value. Remember, professional boxing is just as much a business as it is a sport. Shane did the right thing and waited out a big payday.

And now everyone is convinced he can beat Mayweather? Because of that? Because he fought a guy who just stood there and let Pacquiao throw punches? And then when he did decide to throw punches he hit Pacquiao at will. That's why Pacquiao can beat Mayweather? Look Mayweather will beat Pacquiao so bad Pacquiao will go into resign as congressman and go into hidiing from the embarassment Floyd will give to him.

Clottey's style is by far one of the worst to look good against AND Pacman who is not even a legit WW put on a performance so good that even when nobody else, even legit Top WW's can look good against Clottey, Pacman did.
Pacman did the only thing than ANY smart fighter can do against the style of Clottey. I ADMIRE YOU AND SALUTE YOU MANNY "PACMAN" PACQUIAO!!!!!!!!
Winky actually fights out of his defensive guard......

Why not put the theory to the test, ACCEPT THE OLYMPIC STYLE DRUG TESTING, if Pac's camp is so sure Mayweather would never fight him anyway. Save some face, accept the olympic style drug testing and call Mayweather's bluff, make him look like the pu$$y you all claim him to be.

They can talk all day about how bad you want the fight, if you're not willing to do what's necessary to make the fight. That goes for both sides. I'm just fed up with this back and forth BS.

But you are absolutly right, the match making is what makes Manny look sooooooo phenom if you ask me bruh, I was NOT impressed on Saturday with Manny's performance. And if that Manny shows up against Floyd, we will lose alot of posters on this site; because Floyd will abuse Manny. Mosley will be another fighter who doesn't think that Pac posseses the power to hurt him, which was ODH, Hatton, and Cotto's downfall. Clottey's downfall was not having the proper skills to navigate around the work rate of Pac ie. slipping punches(instead of letting Pac tee off on his high guard), and shooting angles and feints, using the jab to set up(and keep Pac a lil off balanced) his best punch of the evening.......the right hand upper cut(which could have prevented Pac from putting that chin over his lead knee as he was looking for angles around Clottey's guard).
lol and this is true bro can twait to see the real fight may 1st listening to the commentary was annoying as hell also BAM BAM ****!!!! LOL!!!

I have watched both fighters fight from the beginning of their careers in the ring. I don't have to go by any rumor when I have seen and analyzed the fights for myself. Its easy to say what Mosley is going to do against Mayweather but the fact still remains that Shane is a brawler first and a boxer secondary. Mosley looks his best when someone is standing there exchanging shots with him. Shane has always used this strategy and it didn't matter who he fought. Winky Wright may have been the naturally bigger man but let's be real, he didn't fight like a bigger man he just boxed the socks off of Mosley so where was the adjusting you talked about. Cotto got tired of exchanging shots with Mosley and began to box and I ask you yet again where was Shane's adjusting you keep talking about. Mosley relies on power punching his opponents into submission because that's what he's good at. Mayweather is the one who adjust his style to the fighter at hand. He feels you out for a couple of rounds and then he does what he needs to to beat you. Do you think for a second that come May 1st, Mayweather is going to lie down or put on a stellar performance when he knows there is a potential 50 million dollar payday ahead. Money is an excellent driver when that's what you are in the business for.

Drop that knowledge on 'em Slip. Way to break it down. That was legal real talk 101 and 100% true. Shane is gonna come to fight cause he always does but Mayweather is gonna put it on him then Manny will try to fight Shane because that's what Manny does (fight fighters coming off tough losses). Top Rank is good. They depend on the ignorant to create the hype and it works every time.
