It sucks but its just the way family law plays. He was married long enough for his ex to even get a percentage of his social security. Its unfortunate but when these athletes and etertainers get married and they enter into their peak earning years their souse is entitled to a part of that money. It does not pay to be married without a prenup when you are in these guys position.

It would have been pointless for Shane to just take fights and make little to no money and risk being beat by an up and comer with relatvely low money value. Remember, professional boxing is just as much a business as it is a sport. Shane did the right thing and waited out a big payday.
good points. these women are shameful and a disgrace to our mothers and grandmothers. this generation of women today makes me sick. of course the law allows it but the woman also goes and takes advantage(steals) of it. sure his wife was a good manager but managers get fired everyday and dont get future profits from fighters they dont represent anymore. i am sure she got the house, which was paid for and is getting monthly payments from shane. im sure he doesnt mind supporting his kids. im also sure the court is making him pay far and above what is requried for the kids to live a comfortable life. however, he does have a small stake in gbp and a career and paycheck in his future with the company so he will always be doing fine financially.

Hell no! Hatton was PRIME and undefeated mentally stable fighter that was PEAK and was in best form ever! The Mayweather fight was forgettable and never really happened! Hatton cried that fight away. Don't even speak of it again. Hatton only lost to Pac. Mayweather NEVER destroyed him first.

Hoya was at prime weight and the best shape of his life. He was PRIME and more than game to (get paid) fight! It was the BEST hoya we had seen in years. When Mayweather fought him, he was old and at a weight that was unfair to Hoya. He wasn't prime at that weight!

JMM gave Pac hell and Mayweather destroyed JMM, no way shape or form did Mayweather beat the best JMM. BUT if Pac looked t fight him again, be sure to know that JMM status is back to prime and at the top of his game!

Mayweather has superpowers that transforms ALL fighters into over the hill, aged and un-prime prospects! Its only after the fight do they get the status of being prime and elite again especially if Pac is the one fighting them. Thanks to Mayweather's haters this could not be more true!

Floyd makes adjustments and can do so without corner help. Shane can't even WITH corner help. He fights in one gear, and one gear only weither he is winning or losing, and that gear is the adopted Mexican fighting style of come forward and ****. He's got heart Shane does but you need more than heart when you are in the ring. You need to be able to think 1st and use your heart when it's time to dig deep. Not use your heart to run into set traps.
actually you are wrong. go watch the marg fight. there were early rounds where shane was using quick hands and the next round throwing thudding shots. there were times where he was throwing straight punches and times where he was looping over the marg jab. there were times when he lead to the body and times when he feinted low and came with a looping right. there were times in the first 4 rounds where he used a change up jab and snuck in a solid quick jab. other times he used a flicking jab and the next round a sticking jab...there were times when he was letting marg come to home and times when he was going towards marg.

          should i go on?

it gets tiresome listening to amateurs talk like shane is a robot coming forward with no change.

see when i hear this i realize that you guys have never boxed. if you have you would have easily picked up on what i mentioned shane doing above.
see your opponent reacts to what you are doing to him. you can change your pop on your punches while portraying the same speed.
go back and watch the fight with these points on your mind and you will see them
          uuuuuuuuuuh...

          i give up trying.

Modern day business women don't marry unless there is something in it for them. Love is at the bottom of the list. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that Shane Mosley was on his way to stardom back in the mid 90s and his wife knew what she had. The unfortunate thing is that athletes like Shane probably got married because that cute face and tight body were hard to resist at first. After living with that person and a few children later, the real person shows up and then these guys want out. You may get out but she's got a lock on your wallet for life whether you win, loose or draw.

You people on this forum talk as if you know everything about boxing when I bet half of you have never even gotten into a ring and sparred.

What makes the founding SG of the WBC and Manny's drugger different from the President of professional boxing who said PBF would beat both Shane and Pacroid? I notice the difference between the majority of Pacfans vs PBF fans is most Pacfans are programmed with name calling and false rhetoric where PBF fans speak from a more knowledgible point of view. At the the end of the day it's all opinion based and just like us their men with an opinion. Me personally I have boxing, trained, met some of the major players in boxing and have been around the sport all my life so I speak from experience as well as being a unprogrammable fan that's never into the hype. I see beyond the politics and its great to be able to share great boxing conversations with other intelligent, passionate boxing fans in here as my self. :-)

                  • Its easier to generate strong punches if your target is steady like a post. I wonder if Manny can do that on a moving target, while he's being hit in the face by a counterpunch? if he can! then, he should easyly beat Mayweather.
