yea but its not fair to say that a more aggressive pac would land more right? that's not fair! did floyd ever have an answer for the straight left? no he did not. he kept getting hit flush throughout the fight. would floyd counter and hit pac more if pac was more aggressive? yes. would pac hit floyd more? yes. somethign you refuse to admit. in that scenario i like pac since we saw his punches do much more damage and floyd's did none to pac.No offense, but He may be an ATG, but he still drops his hands when he presses for a KO and is not great at cutting off the ring. His problems with counter punchers would still be there 5 years ago.
Having not been KO'd by JMM, its very fair to suggest he would be very agresssive and reckless and Floyd would use that against him.
I would love to have a debate just boxing based. If we can do that, at some point, we need to admit that Floyd has unique attributes at his size and they are hard to overcome.Comment

daggum, Floyd would be younger, fresher and faster, His defense would be even better. Everytime Manny dropped his hands to punch he would get tagged.yea but its not fair to say that a more aggressive pac would land more right? that's not fair! did floyd ever have an answer for the straight left? no he did not. he kept getting hit flush throughout the fight. would floyd counter and hit pac more if pac was more aggressive? yes. would pac hit floyd more? yes. somethign you refuse to admit. in that scenario i like pac since we saw his punches do much more damage and floyd's did none to pac.
you are over exaggerating how many times he landed. you are also not being honest about what floyd's punches did-they may not have done damage but they reduced manny's output significantly.
Its ok to like Manny, but that is in part because you refuse to give Floyd the credit he deserves. Floyd was always a bad matchup for Manny because of the height and reach.Comment

and manny wouldn't be younger, fresher, and faster not to mention not knocked out cold recently? oh the irony omg
no i'm not over exaggerating. you are not being honest by saying it was floyd who lowered pac's output when that has been the way he has been fighting for a while now. also output doesn't matter. clean punches do and it was pac who was landing the clean punches. not floyd. you can't deny that.
maybe things would have been different if they had fought years ago. i'm sure they would have. to say floyd would have done better is strange though since he didn't even think that and waited for pac to lower his output in recent fights.Comment

are these supposed to be pro-floyd gifs or pro-pac gifs?
in the top gif pac lands a cuffing right to the body, floyd lands a solid hook to the side of his head, and while floyd is pulling back pac catches him with a left. how did floyd get the better of that exchange? i'm confused. 2 pac punches to floyd's 1. advantage pac you would think...
in the middle gif pac lands a great shot to floyd's body, ducks one of his hooks, pac comes back with another straight left to the chest which may or may not have been blocked hard to tell, then floyd catches him with an ok hook with not much on it, and then at then end pac catches floyd with a little hook of his own. how did floyd get the better of that exchange? i'm confused. 2 or 3 pac punches to floyd's 1 and 1 of pac's was clearly harder. advantage pac you would think...
bottom gif is hard to tell what happens due to the camera view but floyd seems to make light contact with the side of pac's head while pac lands a power left to the body. seemed more like a push to the head then anything since he coulndn't get any leverage due to pac hitting him in the body. at best an even exchange.
kinda shows how people only see what they want to see. tunnel vision. and this explains how floyd got the decision. if this shows floyd dominance and control then wow. he wasn't getting the better of any of that. only landed 1 solid punch in 3 gifs lmao. i wonder what compubox thought about these exchanges...floyd 3 pac zero i'm guessing. totally legit thoughLast edited by daggum; 03-09-2016, 01:15 PM.Comment

Gifs illustrating how easy it was for Mayweather to slide out of the corner, which is what we were talking about initially, none of the typical Pacquiao getting off combinations when his opponents are against the ropes. If it wasn't the left hook rerouting Pacquiao, it was head control, all things Manny hasn't really had to experience.are these supposed to be pro-floyd gifs or pro-pac gifs?

ok he avoided some of pac's combinations with the left hook/push thingy. i don't disagree. it still doesn't mean it was very effective as we can see he was still losing or at best fighting evenly when using it. this was the great tool that he used to control pac? yes he made it harder for pac but that doesn't mean he was getting the better of pac. 2 different things. you said how easy it was? hmmm he was getting hit with some solid shots there. didn't seem that easy to me. he had to pay a price to use that tactic. why are you ignoring that?Gifs illustrating how easy it was for Mayweather to slide out of the corner, which is what we were talking about initially, none of the typical Pacquiao getting off combinations when his opponents are against the ropes. i see you fell into the common fallacy of if pac doesn't completely dominate and get off combo's he loses. yes pac had to deal with floyd's left turning him but he seems to have done at least pretty well as he landed some good punches before, during, or after floyd used it. why aren't we framing it like that? why are we focusing on fancy moves that floyd did in order to avoid more punches instead of the actual punches that did happen?Comment

lmao exactly, what piss poor examples of 'dominance' those were.are these supposed to be pro-floyd gifs or pro-pac gifs?

Did not fall for anything, if anything you've made more assumptions than any other poster in this thread. Not getting into the whole who bested who, look no further than Spoon's thread that got moved, I only had 1 post in that thread, literally 1. Not gonna engage in that ******ity, the bold is all I wanted to get through.ok he avoided some of pac's combinations with the left hook/push thingy. i don't disagree. it still doesn't mean it was very effective as we can see he was still losing or at best fighting evenly when using it. this was the great tool that he used to control pac? yes he made it harder for pac but that doesn't mean he was getting the better of pac. 2 different things.
