He stood in front of Manny and took his punches. He didn't give up like DLH or run for most of the fight like Cotto.

Clottey went into the fight just trying to survive and collect his paycheck.

I could care less if he wasn’t; it was Oscar who called Manny out prime or not it didn’t change the outcome….

Yes, I've lost respect for him.

He was basically trying to survive and not actually win the fight. I thought he would've at least tried to exchange more but he didn't. It ended up being a boring fight.

Yall keep on giving oscar hell for that fight but first off Oscar was you guys type of fighter... A guy who takes on all comers and creates great fights against the best the guy made a fight with pac and made a goal of coming down to 147 that was too much for him and left him in piss poor boxing shape and yall just turned your back on his ass. You guys are the very reason why I think a fighter should think the biggest event first rather than go for the most challenging fight because at first sight of weakness yall tear this dudes whole career apart. GET OFF THIS DUDE BACK HE MADE THE DECISION AFTER A LONG CAREER OF INSPIRING FIGHTS TO STEP OUT OF A FIGHT HE COULDN'T WIN TO STAY FACE AND NOT RISK HIS HEALTH FURTHER. yall need to give that **** a rest.

People want to trash him but what would any of you guys do in the ring against Pac?

What could he have done? Fight more? and end up with a broken face and beaten as well?

When a guy is hitting you like that, you either lose ugly or pretty. Pretty when your face doesn't have like 3 cuts and a black eye, ugly when you look like Cotto and DLH at the end of a fight

He could have put up more of an attempt to fight, I agree but He would have eaten a ton of punches and probably gotten ko'd in the mid rds

LOL exactly. This is professional boxing which is the sport Clottey chose. Clottey fought exactly like he did in his sparring sessions that I saw. Taking multiple punches on the arms and gloves while rarely firing back. Even when Pacquiao was in defense mode covering up Clottey still refused to throw punches at him. No excuse for that performance but I was not surprised and predicted this would happen.
