No one was concerned Pac made a million excuses not to be tested? Since when.

Thats what made me suspect him the most. People have spoken out against the cheaters in the past. I know I did.

Alot of people including myself didnt know testing like this was feasible in boxing. Now that we know it is with the info I heard about Abraham. Lets do it. Lets get these big fights signed.

    • like it or not, mayweather is smart. no one can disagree that testing is a bad thing. it also puts his opponents in a lose lose situation if they refuse the idea. nobody wants the public to question their achievements in boxing.

      • when the test demands were intially brought up roach said they would take any test and pass them with flying colors

and roach a couple weeks back was on the jim rome show and said that he would take the test

roach is a logical man and he himself recognizes their is no legit excuse for avoiding random blood test especially when you are clean and stand to make a fortune

without a shadow of doubt these demands for blood testing from floyd were created from fear of pacs recent success

blood testing is a new stipulation to the big fight contracts now and its was up to pac to meet the demands or walk away

pac chose to walk away for whatever reason. does that means he is dirty? NO!

if you think floyd slandered pacs image but the reality is

the damage to pacs image took (which is minimal since he is so likeable unlike floyd) was mostly done to himself by walking away from the fight

someone earlier made the boss analogy about being accused of doing drugs

look if my boss accused me of using drugs and demanded i take a drug test the next day and on top of that the day of the drug test i will be earning triple my daily wage; as long as i agree to take the drug test

of course i would take that drug test, regardless if my boss is a prick

what person wouldnt take that test if they are clean?

          Exactly!

i didnt give a **** what floyd snr and roger said

but i only became su****ious as well of pac when he walked away from a fortune all because of random blood testing

you could call floyd a ***** or a chicken because after he saw pac destroy cotto. random blood test became his new thing

but that still does not change the fact that pac does not want to take random blood test.

their are no ill side affects from taking the test and its not a culture thing either because its called olympic style testing for a reason so i would assume any athletes from the phillipines that goes to the olympics every 4 years is subjected to these test as well

there is articles talking about Pac hating blood tests since the first morales fight. so its not like pacquiao made it up all of a sudden that he hates blood tests. it's been known for years. he said at the time that he thought it made him week for that fight. so thats the ill effects of taking blood tests for him. i dont see any problem with that. anyone who takes a blood test knows that its hard to workout after it. body needs to rest afterwards.

With all due respect, you guys are trying to make this a Pac thread. It isn't. Its a very simple question that EVERYBODY is avoiding. Why wasn't anyone concerned about steroids before Floyd tried to institute this policy? Some of you say you were, but I have no recollection of it ever being discussed on these forums in anything more than a passing manner. Why isn't anybody harping about testing being done in any other fights?

Who told you no one was concerned? What do you base this on, NSB? Is that the world to you? Don't be silly - there have been plenty of people who have been concerned for years and are thankful that Floyd Mayweather gave them a reason to discuss it.

When you say no one, are you referring to boxing fans, or the sporting world in general? Because from what I can tell; The NFL, MLB, NBA, and Olympic officials have been worried about it for some times. Their respective fans cared and continue to care about eliminating potential dopers through stringent testing policies as well. It's only natural for boxing to join the fray.

If thats true why hasn't it been a topic of discussion in the news, the papers or yes, these forums? There have been PLENTY of opportunities to jump on this and have people voice their opinions over the years. Nobody was talking about it nor concerned. Why is nobody concerned or talking about any other fights? Where was the outrage over Jones-Hopkins? Jones has actually failed a PED test before and boxing swept it under the rug. Why is no one calling for either Klitschko brother to be tested. Do they not fit the description? Holyfield and Botha just fought. You yourself claimed Holy was a juicer, and Botha has failed a test before. Why no out cry?

One other small thing I forgot to mention....before Floyd initiated this whole thing I heard more about PED testing in golf than I did on boxing. That is sad.

All of a sudden Pac should have to do this after being slandered? Floyd never worried about this until a fight with Manny was being discussed. All of a sudden he should be able to change the rules at his own whim? Bull****. If the governing bodies or state athletic commissions put this rule in effect and Pac refuses.....its all on him. Until that time Floyd is the one I see holding up the fight by trying to make his own rules. I don't want to hear anything about Floyd meeting Pacs demands. Fact is Manny didn't slander Floyd and try changing any rules. If Floyd wants this fight he can follow the same rules as everybody else. If he can't accept those rules, like he always did before, he doesn't really want to fight.

A lot of people seem to want to blame Pac. Where were all you people, and why weren't you worried before?
for 40 fights & 40 victories, the las vegas & current boxing commissions test were good enough for floyd.

As soon as he has to face his most threatening live opponent he ask for test never been done before in the history of professional boxing. This against a guy he claims is too small for him & would be easy work.

You tell me who didnt want the fight.
