I thought Ricky edged Collazo, but I agree with you those other top welters would have done a number on Ricky as hard as that is to say. Oscar was over the hill, which makes it even to give Floyd much credit for barely pulling out that win over him. Both of those guys were "live" against Floyd.

because the casual fans would bet on pacquiao over both?

you guys do know that odds are based on ******** right? it has nothing to do with skills.
So when Mayweather is the favorite to beat Pacquiao it will be because he has a bigger fan base?

that or more casual fans bet on him.

the professional bettors prefer mayweather so he'll have a ton of money being put on him as well.

Wait. Just so I'm clear on this... When Pac is the underdog against Floyd, it's because he's "smaller than Floyd". But when he's the favorite against Clottey, and Cotto, it's because they don't have big fan bases, and the casual fan will bet Pacquiao? That makes sense.

And you know damn well the casual fan can't wait to bet on Pacquiao against Floyd. And Floyd also doesn't have the fan base that Pacquiao does. So, by your logic, Pac should be favored.

And I've been a consistent sports bettor for over 11 years. I know how it works.

They were good wins, but Oscar had one fight in the 2 1/2 years prior and Hatton was thrashed in his one fight at WW (against a fringe fighter.) Forget about all the 24/7s and hype, Floyd was a clear favorite in both of those fights.
