Pavlik moved up 2 weight divisions to fight Hopkins. I don't see how that fight will have any bearing on the result vs. Martinez. Will be interesting though.

Pavlik will beat Williams at 160....i agree with him about Sergio....thats a 50/50 fight......but i have a feeling Pav will take it.........

He said he has nothing to prove by beating Winky and people would just say he beat up an old man. The point here is that all of Wright's defeats are controversial aside from Williams which I believe his inactivity hurt him badly in that fight. I think the real reason Pavlik wont fight him is because Winky will want at least a 50-50 split and even if Kelly beats him he wont look good in the fight. And if Kelly lost, What would he do?

I dont want to see Pavlik fight Winky but my point is it's in nobodies real interest to fight Winky Wright right now, Unfortunate for his fans that everyone is ducking him

f I beat Winky Wright it will be said that I fought a 40 year old man that is way past his prime. It isn't worth it for me. I don't get anything out of it. Unfortunately in my situation I have to fight killers and monsters to get the recognition.

Really, Espinosa is a "killer and a monster" ? For sure Winky would have been a better "warm up" fight? Why did you fight Espinosa, the bum?

He's an ass 4 brining up Floyd, Manny & Cotto. I never seen any1 get crticized more then Cotto when he lost 2 Margarito. It was a brutal defeat but Pavlik was outclassed & didn't even belong in the same ring with a 40+ yr old man. Manny is on a good streak, Floyd, if he ever loses, 4 get about it. He will never hear the end of it. Pavlik is just bitching.

I think he had to fight to keep his titles. During the time he had the staph infection he could not train much. Pavlik was in no shape to fight a top fighter when he fought Espinosa.

If you watch the Hopkins fight you can see Pavlik is very tired around round 6. He was throwing around 30 punches a round. Normally Pavlik can throw 80 to 90 punches a round. Just because Hopkins beat Pavlik does not mean Sergio will. Sergio was knocked out at welter weight by a guy with a 60% Ko ratio. Cintron and Williams both hit him a lot also. At middle wieght Pavlik has a 90% Ko ratio.
