I think if Kelly fought Paul it'll b a war but that'll b the first time Paul would fight a guy he's hight and Paul will surely have his moments but I don't think he'll b walking through all of those pavlik jabs and straight right hands and it's true Paul still fights in the same way every fight he just comes out there and throws a 100punches a round but other than he has no other gameplan I think for his hight he should learn how to box very good so he had another dimension to go to but until he gets ko'd or beaten badly he will not learn this...Paul is still very succesful cuz he is very tall and has a great reach against most of his opponents but hey that's not he's fault but still he should improve he's technique and learn how to box cuz if he ever fights Kelly...he is gona get nailed specially wit that heavy right hand of Kelly..I'm a big fan of paul but he should still have a plan B and by that means learn how to box and not have wars all the time..

Pavlik contradicted himself so much in this interview. He should have played it safe and show up in the ring. I think Martinez will win a SD.

Agree. PW hasn't ducked Pavlik BUT all the **** he talked claiming Pavlik was ducking him when Pavlik had those injuries and illnesses was beyond classless. I just want to see that fight happen already, the bad blood between those two is epic.

Yes but Pavlik is white and if the Pacquiao situation has told us anything it's that the Mayweathers are racist against anyone not black.

One could argue that point but there is more validity in my statement then there is for the Pacquiao PED accusations so i feel more than justified in saying it, using mayweather logic.

This is one thing that frustrates me about boxing in general now-a-days not just Pavlik. The rationalization that because someone doesn't have a 'name' you can duck them.

Pavlik - Pirog, Golovkin, Sturm, Jacobs all 160 opponents that are good fighters who he could fight this year and there are more following behind them like Guerrero, Korobov, maybe Kirkland etc

Same with PW. I want to see the Pavlik fight but after that he needs to stay the *** at 154 and fight Martinez rematch, Dzinziruk, Cintron, Konecny, Angulo, Lara etc for the next 2 years. Plenty of guys for him.

Now i'm going to completely contradict myself and say that i would be interested in seeing Pavlik vs some guys at 168. Kessler & Froch especially would make for exciting matchup due to styles but also Abraham since it never went down at 160. He'd have trouble with Ward imo and would almost certainly lose to Bute.

lol no way Cintron hits as hard a Pavlik. I agree Martinez has a good chin but he's never been hit like Kelly will hit him.

Kelly sound like a ***** complaining... Lol
anyways Martínez CAN outbox him and if Williams ever fights him, it will be lights out for Williams.

              Idk.....

IDK about K.P. beating MARTINEZ. I think MARTINEZ can out-speed him 4 SURE! He is SUPER FAST and has FAST feet and he is very very smart in the ring. What P.W. was able to do is outwill MARTINEZ in the late rounds. P.W. has something you can't teach and it's called WILL/HEART/DETERMINATION. If he ever fights K.P., that's what it will come down to. K.P. has heart as well but I think P.W. has more and his hand-speed will factor into him winning a WAR!

When was the last time Williams got hit by a 5 punch combo? Never, because Paul is actually slick when he wants to be and he knows how to tie up. Kelly has some of the worst defense in boxing.

That said, I do think he will finish Martinez late. Martinez is good but not a real middleweight and definitely not perfect enough to take on serious power from a guy that is much taller and can throw a nice straight punch.
Watch rounds 6-12 in the Margarito fight to see how easy Paul is to hit. You can also watch the Quintana fight and the Martinez fight. But yeah, you're right, he just didn't want to be slick in those fights.

Did you just put Williams and slick in the same sentence?

He did. I wouldn't call Paul slick at all but to each his own.

I'm glad to hear Pavlik talking some ****. He had a ****ty year and I'd like to see him get back into his groove.
