Pavlik hits like a truck. If he lands a flush shot on Martinez or Williams chin it's sleepy time.

Roger Mayweather does say that the best fighters are from the Midwest. So that excuse isn't going to fly, Pavlik.

Both Martinez and Williams are tough fights for him. Martinez is sneaky, has some power and might wobble him up a bit. Williams throws punches in bunches and Pavlik gets into a defensive mode and loses his timing in those conditions.

He can win both fights, but I would not bet real money on it. With Pavlik it is all about rythum and certain things can throw him off. If he gets off with his punches though, he could give both of them a bad night. As for now though I will just sit and wait to see what happens.

What bugged me about that interview is he seemed hard into triangle theories. It is almost like he was trying to convince himself in there. Depending upon how you look at it, that could be a lack of confidence on his part.

Examples: "Everyone says Abraham is the best ever, but I beat Miranda who beat Abraham" and "I lost to Hopkins, but it had to be a bad night because I beat Taylor and he beat Hopkins"

He means it's because he's white. People presume he's a good ole farm boy because of his skin color.

Martinez will sound off on his dome in 10...all this new found confidence will be canceled out by martinez's speed and angles...and he's crazy if he thinks Martinez doesn't have a chin...I'd place cintron what and what with power on pavliks...oh and no...triangle theories don't work...

Cintron is a former WW. Pavlik is a full bodied MW. Just because you can take a strong punch at 147 or 154 doesn't mean that you can hang with the big boys at 160. We have weight divisions for a reason. Martinez will be feeling true middleweight power for the first time in April.

Williams, Martinez, and maybe even Wright all beat him. Winky could be outworked to a UD since he's probably past it by now.

Yeah but cintron takes his power as he moves up...I could see a fight with cintron and pavlik...it would be more than plausible...the man can throw...not saying pavlik can't...but his power has been seen before...someone like AA would put a hole in his head...matter of fact...I'm in fear for Dirrell's life right now...

                      1. It wasn't him that night against Hopkins = Bull**** you're just not good above 160, you almost lost to Taylor in the rematch at 168 too. Stay at 160, beat Martinez then fight Williams if you beat Williams fight Winky. By then your body will be good enough to move to 168.

                      2. Nobody said anything about Mayweather fighting Marquez = Again, bull****. He must have missed all the boycott threads for this fight.

                      3. Nobody said anything about DLH vs Pacquiao, is that what I read? = Does Pavlik live with Patrick Star, under a rock?

                      4. You beat Taylor who beat Hopkins so that is proof that that was not you that night against Hopkins? = Really Pavlik? So now the triangle theories works in more than one way? So now it's no longer "If I stopped Taylor who beat Hopkins twice then imagine what I can do to Hopkins". Nope ladies and gents now it's "Well I lost to Hopkins but i'm still gonna deny he can really beat me because I stopped Taylor who beat him twice, that was not me in there" What is that called, the backward triangle theory?
