      Yay No PPVs!

I have Cotto winning this one late on a stoppage created by body shots.

In my opinion the people who say that it's good that this fight isn't PPV don't understand the aftermath of this and don't grasp budgeting good fights. Is Cotto-Foreman a good fight? Either Foreman wins a boring ass decision or it becomes another one of those glorified sparring sessions like with Cotto's previous feather fisted opponents. HBO should've showed Arum the ropes like they did when Cotto decided to fight Jennings and Pavlik decided to fight Rubio. Keep the money to buy better match ups. But then again, I don't cling to Cotto's nut sack and praise him as this blood and guts warrior like some other posters do.

I understand what you're saying, but on the other hand this fight is at Yankee's stadium and it's hard to pass on that I think. Plus, imo I actually think this one will turn out to be a good fight.

Corley, N'dou, Malinaggi, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margarito and Pacquiao....he's faced some live opponents when he could have probably rode his wave of popularity a few years longer if he fought a bit softer opposition.

Miguel established himself as the force to reckon with for a few years at welterweight, and it seemed plausible he'd hold that crown for awhile.

The fact that we're already thinking he might be done, having made his money and gone as far as he can, is a real shame.

I think this is a good example, if he turns out to lose to Foreman and retire, of a boxer who stepped up to the plate against Margarito, and then again Pacquiao, when other men at his level wouldn't, and paid the price for it.

He'd be the prime example of Mayweather's safety-first fighting style and supposed cherry-picking of opponents. Miguel went against tough guys, came out worse for wear, and lost his confidence and, possibly as a result, some of his abilities.

I'll be rooting for Miguel and, despite being from Jamaica- not Puerto Rican- I'll def. be trying to turn this fight into a PPV worthy party, just in case its the last time I see this guy in the ring.

              'Nuff respect Cotto.
Well put bro' It will be interesting to see how Cotto fares at 154 considering he is pretty short. On the other hand, he might go back to the same body attack that made him so successfull for such a long time. Cotto is a true warrior and an overall champ. If he beats Foreman, which I believe he will, I wouldnt put it past him to fight a little longer, perhaps even past 2010. Foreman is decent but everybody here derided him as a joke before he beat Santos (the fighter I hate the most) so I don't think it's that huge of a challenge, IMHO. I might be wrong but I see Cotto winning a title in a third weight class and putting in two more fights. Then again Cotto does things his way and he might just step away and focus on his businesses after the victory.

PS: So happy this is not going to PPV. It really is the right thing to do because it might really be Cotto's last fight.

I'm cool with that, I hope Cotto still has enough left in him. I can't over the fact people dismiss him when he fought EVERYONE.
