I'd be shocked, number one. And if he does that and looks great, I'd want him to keep going and have another big fight. Not against Pac though, if that's what you mean. I just don't see the point and I don't see how you can sell it. Plus, HBO would never go for it.

I wouldn't mind seeing, like say Mosley loses a very competitive decision to Floyd, I wouldn't mind seeing Cotto/Mosley 2 at 154.

the difference is jjc will sell not cotto,in one of his ppv he didn't fill the arena,and he was in ny,and the sells weren't what was expected,according to arum,so thats the difference..jjc will probably sell anywhere,cotto only in ny

Yeah in less than 3 years he fought, judah, mosley, margarito, clottey, and pacquiao. pretty impressive.

Miguel Cotto earned my respect the hard way; by fighting tough opposition. Despite what anyone says, Cotto's resume isn't half bad.

Corley, N'dou, Malinaggi, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margarito and Pacquiao....he's faced some live opponents when he could have probably rode his wave of popularity a few years longer if he fought a bit softer opposition.

Miguel established himself as the force to reckon with for a few years at welterweight, and it seemed plausible he'd hold that crown for awhile.

The fact that we're already thinking he might be done, having made his money and gone as far as he can, is a real shame.

I think this is a good example, if he turns out to lose to Foreman and retire, of a boxer who stepped up to the plate against Margarito, and then again Pacquiao, when other men at his level wouldn't, and paid the price for it.

He'd be the prime example of Mayweather's safety-first fighting style and supposed cherry-picking of opponents. Miguel went against tough guys, came out worse for wear, and lost his confidence and, possibly as a result, some of his abilities.
I'll be rooting for Miguel and, despite being from Jamaica- not Puerto Rican- I'll def. be trying to turn this fight into a PPV worthy party, just in case its the last time I see this guy in the ring.
