Yes, but everyone who wanted a refund was free to do it after Haye pulled out, and it still got sold out, so...

Yes, and they would have been returned and refunded if people were only going because of Haye being the opponent.

It was Klitschko's popularity alone that resulted in the capacity crowd.

If it was booked and planned, then it's unlikely they would have wanted a refund.

I have been to fights, and trains are booked in advance, hotels etc...

But I still think 60k is impressive.

Fact is, 60k was sold when Haye was on the sheet. The biggest seating in germany since max schemling looking at newspaper articles.

Hell no it was for chagaev.

So? You can cancel a hotel booking and nothing happens, you're not going to lose any money over it. I don't know if you can cancel train tickets since I don't travel by train that much, but I think you can.

I've just checked and yes you can cancel train tickets here in Spain and you get most of your money back (they penalize you a 5% I think). Is it different where you leave (I'm guessing England)?

If I book something, I would not cancel if a fighter is no longer there. It's booked and planned, I've booked off work, I am gonna go. That is me.

Good for you, but that is your decision, doesn't mean that people went because of Haye.

In 2 weeks maybe your theory will have some credit if the stadium against Chambers is half empty, but I don't think it'll be, what do you think?

There still are some tickets available for the Chambers fight.

Yeah, there are still some tickets available for Pacquiao-Clottey, and it's this week too.

If the tickets were sold out when it was Wladmir VS Haye, then Haye helped sell it.

It doesn't work like he didn't because he pulled out.

If Wladmir sells well VS Chambers, then that is good, but if he doesn't sell out a 50k stadium, then perhaps Haye was a big hit with the fans over there.

                    Will you admit that?

There will be 50K for the Chambers fight.

German fans are generally pretty good about getting behind foreign fighters who come over and give impressive performances over home fighters like Chambers did against Dimitrenko.

Lamon Brewster is a good example, he went over and beat Krasniqi and then enjoyed a lot of fan support against Klitshcko and has made some late career money fighting in Europe fighting in front of those same fans.

Brian Minto.. same thing. After beating Axel Shulz he was immediately brought back and was well received by the German fans against Krasniqi.
