    I miss the 80s
I miss them too. We used to get to see the fights the next day or the next week for free, and if you didnt have to try too hard to avoid the result, although my older brother deliberately f.ucked that up on the Leonard Hagler fight, and the only reason the bastard told me is because we had a five pound bet(which I lost).

for me, i always liked boxing and i am only 23 but i think the first fight i saw live on tv that made me "fall in love with boxing" and become a hardcore fan was corrales vs castillo. and i have followed boxing way more than any other sport since than, however a couple years later the vazquez/marquez trilogy and the 3rd fight is my personal fav to date. i have a box that lets me watch videos i download in top notch quality on my tv. i currently have like 100 fights on it. i love the classic wars.

        LOL yea that sucks.

Though I love the internet, it kills me when I have to totally cut off communication just to NOT find out who won a fight before I can download it lol.

if the fight went on to the later rounds and Tommy started to lose mobility, then i'd buy the weak legs excuse
True. I did think it was a bit of a strange one from Manny. Tommy has a reputation for maybe not having the best of chins, but he took some murderous shots in that first round.

I remember watchin Wilfredo Gomez as a kid. Any of his fights would make someone fall in love with the sport! I loved the 80's, then it kinda slowed down until Tito started knocking people out, but one of my all time faves was Edwin "El Chapo" Rosario vs. Hector "Macho" Camacho, even though I was mad at the results. Rosario was the reason why Macho got so defensive afterwards and wouldn't really engage anyone.

Too much too go wrong! That happens to me with the footy results sometimes. I can succesfully avoid it all day, just to get a text from one of my mates just as I'm sitting down to watch it!

The first fight of Rosario's I saw was against Chavez. What a war of attrition that was. So sad what happened to Rosario. RIP.
