For me, that was the 1st actual big live fight I sat and watched in its entirety. I remember my Pops and Uncle bickering about who was gonna win before the telecast started.

        I miss the 80s

Have you seen the HBO documentary about it? Its pretty good. Manny Steward went ballistic at one of Tommy's entourage for giving him a massage minutes before the fight, says it weakened his legs!

Jack Johnson VS Jeffries : great fight, great match up, i really thought Jeffries was gonna crush Johnson, since then i learned the art of boxing.

LMAO; really i started to watch boxing after Liston-Ali and Ali Frazier, both in the same video. Then Toney-Barkley and Tyson and DLH's fights I watched as a youngster.

Hearns and SRL 1, Hearns was looking so unbeatable. A technical fight with a lot of ebb and flo till the end. I remember all the hype till the day of the fight and it lived to it and more.

his legs looked fine until Marvin caught him with that bomb...in fact, there were moments were i thought Tommy had Marvin in trouble

if the fight went on to the later rounds and Tommy started to lose mobility, then i'd buy the weak legs excuse
