Team Pacquiao sets fight night weight restrictions?

I am not going to lie it would surprise the hell out of me there is re-hydration claws in the contract. The whole point of day before weigh-ins is for the fighters to be able to rehydrate. When they had same day weigh-ins studies showed that it damaged the fighters more. So they start doing day before weigh-ins as a safety issue. So pretty much what some people are saying is that Pac and his team are making fighters have to make weight on fight night. And, I just don't see a commission approving a contract like that due to safety issues.Comment

Its all good man. I wasn't trying to clown you or anything.I can't post links yet because I haven't been very active in the forums even though I've been on here for years. But it looks like you were correct and I was wrong because I found this old article on ESPN and from the context of the article it is clear that there was not a fight-night stipulation. Here is what I found:
"De La Hoya has fought at weights as high as 160 pounds. Generally on fight night, he refuses to get on the "unofficial HBO scale." But Freddie Roach, who trained De La Hoya for his fight against Floyd Mayweather and has been training Pacquiao, says that De La Hoya gained 10 pounds after weighing in at 154 to face Mayweather. Roach expects a similar gain on Dec. 6; maybe more because Oscar will be drying out more to make the contract weight of 147 pounds.
The disparity in weight between De La Hoya and Pacquiao has led to complaints that boxing's Golden Boy is buying a gold-plated mismatch. Oscar is in danger of being seen as a school-yard bully who, after having lost to fighters his own size, is now picking on tough little guys." - ESPN
So yeah, I guess I have to renege on this one I was wrong. To TheSituation II, I was wrong my bad.Comment

I believe in Roswell and UFO's and the Apollo not really landing on the moon.do you also try to desperately find ties with 9/11 and how it was planned by the US government itself? how bout roswell and UFOs? princess diana's death by the royal family? apollo moon landing being shot on a studio? philadelphia experiment?
no offense but with that kind of mentality, i wonder how you even manage to sleep at night.Comment

Yes it would... And, that is why I just don't see a commission approving a contract like that... If they did... then that is a pretty big problem IMO... And, everybody would serious have to look at the intentions of these commissions..Comment
