If Team Pac accused Floyd of juicing and he refused testing...we'd never hear the end of this. Pac fans would act worst than Floyd fans are acting now.

What is the REASON that leads you to believe that Pacquiao is using AAS?

What's next? Pacquiao isn't human? Oh wait, didn't Diaz already say that?

Even though I was surprised, nothing should shock you in boxing. We're talking PEDs here - the ones with access will use. I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd used in the past though I've never heard his name whispered. And he deserves kudos for being willing to take the tests himself. That said, PEDs are common. I remember watching De La Hoya-Mosley I fight with a fairly known former boxer and asking him, "do you think Shane was on the juice for this fight too?" And his response was, "I don't know but it sure looks like Oscar was!"

I played college football so when I hear of another athlete getting caught or possibly doing PEDs, it doesn't surprise me. I have a friend (more like a cousin) that plays in the NFL and he says that its widely known that alot of the guys in the NFL are on HGH. He named some high profile guys that take HGH. It didn't shock me though, I had teammates that were using. It crazy, but not really a shock. That is how sports are.

The thing I've been wondering about most of all recently is the 14 day window thing. It's common kowledge that PEDs can be cycled and flushed out of the system literally hours before a fight. So if Pacquioao was juicing, what is the point of Floyd suggesting this 14 day window, where Pacquiao wouldn't be tested for two whole weeks before the fight? If he was using PED's, surely he could easily get away with it. Right?
It makes no sense at all. The point seems to be mind games, that's all. Floyd has no intention whatsoever of "cleaning up the sport", it's a lie as far as I'm concerned. He is saying it in the hope that boxing fans see him as some kind of hero. The fact is, Pacquiao has taken the shine off Floyd's accomplishments by destroying their common opponents and moved into Floyd's old spot as P4P #1. Floyd hates it, and rather than building his own career back up, he figured it'd be easier to tear another man's hard work down. Great way of "cleaning up the sport". Not. I'm pretty sure I can see right through this crap.
I don't believe Pacquiao is using anything, and never did. His weight has barely changed (see below), he hasn't been KO'ing people Tyson-style, except maybe for Hatton, but the reason for that is largely due to Hatton's flaws which Pacquiao took great advantage of. He went 9 rounds with David Diaz, 8 rounds with Oscar and almost the full 12 with Cotto. There's no sign that he suddenly became some kind of monster puncher, and people talk as though steroids give you insane power. That's not true. Known users such as Mosley and Vargas have both lost fights and looked like **** while they were juicing. Steroids do not guarantee anyone a victory.
Mayweather himself uses a performance enhancing drug (Xylocaine) which, as far as I know, is illegal everywhere outside of the only state he will fight in. That's his reason for not fighting Pacquiao in Texas.
Manny's weight:
2006 | 129 | Morales III | Ring Weight: 144 | Rehydration: 15 lbs
2007 | 130 | Barrera II | Ring Weight: 144 | Rehydration: 14lbs
2008 | 129 | Marquez II | Ring Weight: 145 | Rehydration: 16lbs
2008 | 134½ | Diaz | Ring Weight: 147 | Rehydration: 12½ lbs
2008 | 142 | De La Hoya | Ring Weight: 148.5 | Rehydration: 6½ lbs
2009 | 138 | Hatton | Ring Weight: 148 | Rehydration: 10 lbs
2009 | 144 | Cotto | Ring Weight: 149 | Rehydration: 5 lbs
144-149 = 5 lbs difference in three years.
Pacquiao is not taking steroids. The only people who claim he is are those who are threatened by him, and that includes his moronic minions.
Roger / Floyd Sr. / Floyd Jr.: Pacquiao is a huge threat to their name.
Paulie Malignaggi: Was beaten (badly) by Cotto. He said "If Manny beats Cotto he is the greatest fighter who ever lived", or something along those lines. Then, two days later, he claims Pacquiao is on something. Why? Because Pacquiao made Malignaggi look like crap by beating Cotto so emphatically. This is pure jealousy.
Kermit Cintron: Suddenly piped up a few days before Pacquiao was due to fight his fellow Rican, Cotto. Again, the key words here are "fellow Rican". Maybe Kermit has a high level of PR Pride.
Floyd reminds me of when I was younger, back when I was interested in a girl but she was more interested in another guy. I would talk **** about the other guy in an attempt to make myself look and feel better. It didn't work. All it did was make me look ridiculous and highlight my jealousy. Floyd is petty and ******, like I was as a young teenager with a crush on someone.
Despite all this crap, Floyd was a HUGE Pacquiao fan just a few years ago. He was sometimes seen at Pacquiao fights jumping up and down and getting excited. His words: "Manny Pacquiao is the truth."
He sure is. But only when he's nowhere near your weight division. Now according to Floyd, Manny Pacquiao is a lie.
Make your confused little mind up, Floyd baby.

It's kinda like baseball. I never even thought of steroids and people using although it was so freaking obvious and right in front of my face. It wasn't until Canseco said something that I was like, "Hold up. Is that Mark McGwire? Geezus, when did he get like this?" It's always right in front of you.

I posted this in the historian forums.
Originally posted by Nike Phats View PostI wouldn't call myself an historian, but I consider myself fairly knowledgeable. With that said, yes, I do. I'd always had my su****ions, because lets be honest, if something is too good to be true it usually is. I've been burned far too many times to continue taking athletes words on whether or not they're clean. The use of PED's has plagued modern sports, and sadly, anyone who achieves spectacular levels of performance will be in question. Albert Pujols, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, LeBron James, etc. At one point, the sincerity of their skill has been questioned. The difference between the above and Manny Pacquiao is that Manny has run from being tested, while the above mentioned haven't. I truly began believing Manny was using PED's when he turned down $25 million in fear of being subject to randomized drug testing. While that alone is reason enough to be su****ious, the shoddy actions from his camp are what cemented his drug use in my mind. For example, Arizas claims that Manny doesn't know what he(Ariza) gives him. Manny's claims of fearing needles when he's covered in tattoos. Manny's claims of giving blood making him weak, when he's given blood before in physicals before fights(Far more than what's required in a PED blood test), when he's lost blood during fights and continued, and more recently, it being reported that he gave blood the other day and returned to training soon afterwards. That's just too much for me to continue on giving Manny the benefit of the doubt.
I simply can't explain things like this.

And just to add on; I think randomized blood testing should be mandatory in all major sports. Not just boxing.
