Well said Mr Ruiz, dont matter where you are from here, as long as you come 2 fight! I am a Haye fan, simply because he is such a devastating puncher, but the Valuev fight I was in shock, The tactics were terrible, everybody applauded him afterwards and said it was some great victory, only barry mcguigan spoke the truth post fight, I have NEVER seen haye fight like that, and dont want to see him again, he could have actually stopped the big man, as evident in the last round, if he was doing that earlier on. Valuev is not big puncher in heavyweight terms, obviously any heavyweight can punch, but the klits and ruiz will prbably have more pop than valuev, so I am well intrigued to see what style he adopts in this fight.

I can answer truthfully that "YES" I have often been impressed with Ruiz......as i have been impressed by Chris Byrd, Cory Spinks emmanuel Augustus and the others who, lacking a punch still go into the ring with certified monsters and, very often, in uiz' case, have grappeled, and clinched their way to victory.

Ruiz in my opinion, has always been underated, and unfairly scorned by a boxing public who know little of the finer points of the Art of Self Defense. Ruiz has been, in the distant past, a tearaway fighter, with a KO punch. He then, for some reason,perhaps his 19 sec KO by David Tua before he could even lift his hands properly.

I'm not a Ruiz fan, but I don't understand all the hate he gets either. He uses the tools he has to win, he would be ****** to try to fight a style that doesn't suit him.

there are few (if any) things more impressive in boxing than a fighter completely switching up his style, and thats what haye did. a great fighter needs to be able to adapt and haye showed against valuev he has the allround skills to be a real threat to any current HW.

he had the perfect gameplan coming in but when he broke his hand he needed to adapt, so he did. he went from the punching style hes had in the pros and became a pure boxer, relying on his amateur background.

he didnt run, its called lateral movement and is what he needed to take away the size factor.

boxing is scored on 4 things.

- clean effective punching
- ring generalship
- defense
- effective aggression

haye was fighting a much bigger man with one hand so he used defense and ring generalship to outpoint him. the way he used the ring, stayed of the ropes and dodged punches was beautiful. even though he didnt land alot he still landed the better shots and made valuev miss constantly not letting him score at all, meanwhile scoring on defense himself.

it was a masterful display, anyone who can appreciate the sweet science and boxing in its purest form would be impressed by hayes performance.

it wasnt the typical haye but thats a good thing, showing he can win fights in more than one way. we already know he has offense but now we know he has defense aswell and can control an oponent through outhinking him in addition to with the sheer threat of blunt force.

Yeah, yeah, Haye had a great performance BS. He could barely get past a guy that Holyfield and Chagaev both beat more convincingly. And if he broke his hand in the 2nd round as he claims, why didn't he mention it even once to his corner during the fight? I call BS again. The hand was just an excuse for his performance and to try to keep alive the hype that he can beat the Klitschkos, which after that performance, it's obvious he can't.

Co-sign. And since he gave Sauerland and King options to get Valuev's belt,
he isn't fighting either Klitschko anytime soon. He has to fight the winner of Meehan - Chagaev next. After Haye fights a Klitschko, the illusion that he's anything more than a blown-up cruiserweight will be over, and his new masters will want to keep the illusion alive for awhile yet.

Sorry about garbled letter. I've been having "jumping" computer problems where half of the sentence ends up 3 or 4 lines back, and, although I've been careful to erase and rewrite, sometimes a letter will "get away" from me.

Ruiz is right, and if most other people are right, Ruiz will beat Haye. Compare Ruiz fight with Valuev to Haye's track meet run fest with record low punch output and you'll see who the real winner will be between these two.
