Gomez beats anybody at 122 but 126 simply wasn't his weight. He wasn't very big, especially compared to Salvador Sanchez and Azumah Nelson. Their records at the weight indicate that Sanchez was by far the better fighter at featherweight and he proved it in their fight.

Excuses about not training hard enough for a fight can be made for anybody. However I do believe that Wilfredo Gomez gradually got away from his earlier smooth boxing style into more of a slugger.

Also Morales never wanted the third Barrera fight, He didn't even train correctly or even wanted to win that fight.

I think In Jin Chi was better than Hamed. I mentioned Chi in my last post too.

Sorry but preparation to the fight IS part of the fight.

Out of all the mexican boxers, I got

                  1. Salvador Sanchez
                  2. Julio Cesar Chavez (Even though he's a **** in real life)
                  3. Erik Morales (Great Heart/Determination, Really entertaining)
4.Ricardo Lopez (The reason I have him as 4th, Is because he only challenged himself
within his weight class and fought a lot of C class fighters)
                  5. Marco Antonio Barrera (Same as Morales, Also a mexican version of floyd lol)

Salvador Sanchez was a fighter who many thought would go onto become a multi-weight world champion, possibly up to light welter. Gomez was never successful at 126, even against LaPorte he looked shaky at times.

Sanchez was the tall, lanky type while Gomez was the short, stocky type. To some observers this may seem like Gomez was bigger because he had muscles but in fact he was facing disadvantages in height and reach.
