Exactly what I am saying.... Pacquiao basically won an award for a decade(10yrs) worth of work, in exactly 7 years. Something is off there, if they considered Floyd for the award regardless of retirement.

Mayweather should have got fighter of the decade, but the boxing world was/is high on Pacquiao.

Its true, I think it is because he has a personality that represents the sport better to the mainstream so everyone wants to blow him up. Its not Pacs fault though, and Floyd doesnt do himself any favours in that department

is that not how floyd ascended to number 1 p4p status though? by beating arturo gatti while hopkins and jones got knocked off? i'm calling preferential treatment big time on that one. if pac was american he would have been on the list long before he actually was added and would have been moved up to number 1 so fast it would make your head spin.

floyd moved up to number 2 after beating guys like Carlos Alberto Ramon Rios and justin juuko in just 1 weight class. imagine pac being american and beating guys like barrera, morales, and marquez and at the same time being a 4 weight champion. no chance he wouldn't be number 1.

enjoy the biased american ring rankings. i'm american too but they hype up their local boys far too much which is a disservice to boxing fans. maybe if they hadn't ranked him so high after beating bums floyd might have took on some tougher competition to actually earn a good ranking.
