You knew he would carry his speed. It's a matter of looking at Pac at his lower weights, and seeing that on fight night he was weighing the exact same thing he is weighing on fight night since moving to 140 and 147. If you don't have to spend as much time cutting weight to make weight, you retain more physical ability. It's not like Pac is knocking people out through pure power, except for Hatton where he landed a perfect punch. He is stopping fighters because he is so much faster than they are and is landing so many punches because of that speed.

He's not doing anything many fighters before him haven't done.

I didn't think Pacman was gonna beat the **** out of Cotto, that's for sure!!The minute I seen Oscar come into the ring weighting 142,I knew his night was over!!Hatton was not really some dominating fighter,so I guess I shoulda seen that coming, but Cotto, wow!!If he stops Clottey,(who's never been seriously hurt),man I wouldn't know what to think about that!!

you guys are forgetting something...even tho cotto came into tht fight looking good, he was fighting at a lower weight and hes never really had much of a chin. the guys been knocked down and hurt on more than a few occasions. i think that cotto as a whole was quite overhyped. he was good but once margs beat him to crap, he was destined to never reach that top level. u guys need to stop believing the **** hbo tells u and look at the history. so pac man knocking around cotto isnt tht big of a deal. now if he woulda knocked out oscar, tht would have been some ****!! and if he knocks out clottey, i might quit watching boxing altogether!!!

Even as a Manny fan I would start to suspect something if CLottey was stopped. Not unless Pacquiao hardly gets hit and lands with precision ala David Diaz---something would be fishy.

Good post. I have lost count of the times I've said the reason he is better right now is because he isn't draining as much, plus he ironed out a few flaws over the last couple of years, too. Still, very few people expected it. Very few of us had Pacquiao beating the crap out of Oscar. But once we saw what happened the outcome of the fights after that one were easier to call.

I also believe Cotto was a little bit overhyped by HBO who loved him and some PR fans who really really loved him, Going into the fight i couldnt see how Cotto was going to win, I thought he was too slow for Pac and i thought he wouldnt be able to land anything on Pac...But to see the way Pac beat up Cotto was poetry in motion, I knew he would do that to Cotto but to actualluy see it is something else.

Also, I don't really know how Pacquiao's power will turn out to be 2 divisions above, stamina and speed.

After Pac Koed Diaz cold, I will never doubt Pac's power up to 147. A healthy non dehyrated Pac is very strong & fast. Just look at Roach records, he's an Honest guy, he mean what he say. He's confident on Pac's chances. Nobody else work for both Pac & DLH simultaneously. Roach knows something nobody in this Planet knows.
