Why is Oscar De La Hoya obsessed with Antonio Margarito?

Big time fights revolve around America. No one is going to care if Margarito knocks the local taco chef out. If he wants love from fight fans he is going to have to do it in the good ole US of A.Comment

I think big time fights revolve around Germany.
Those ****ers get better tv ratings and they fill huge arenas.Comment

**** Margarito! He could've potentially damaged one of De La Hoya's fighters for life or killed them (Mosley). I'm glad someone with power is petitioning against him.It was as if he didn't even want to bring up his name after he beat Cotto and was the man at WW. At the time most of the boxing world demanded he fight Margarito in an all Mexican superfight, but he acted as if there was no Margarito, and elected to take a circus fight that everyone thought he would dominate, but ended up getting beaten into retirement. If he didn't want to bring up Margarito's name then when he promised him a fight, which he would have probably lost, but to a legitimate WW instead of a featherweight, then why is he constantly talking about Margarito now?Comment

Ze Germans are just big time homers. If Tye Fields was a hometown kid 95% of them would be watching. Besides, their best fighter Abraham is going to make his hometown in Detroit, I hear. German boxing will crumble.Comment

Klitschko's aren't even from Germany and they 20 to 50 k in the seats and 13 million viewers.
I mean a country with a third of the people does twice the business.
Clearly the US is doing something wrong and boxing is a fringe sport here.Comment

Maybe they have built up frustration from WW2 and the only cure for it is violence......Comment

I decided to like the Germans. Since everyone else hates them, I figured why not.
Not the ****'s or anything, they chased my family out.
But the regular germans, you know the BMW engineers and such.Comment
