Why is Oscar De La Hoya obsessed with Antonio Margarito?

It was as if he didn't even want to bring up his name after he beat Cotto and was the man at WW. At the time most of the boxing world demanded he fight Margarito in an all Mexican superfight, but he acted as if there was no Margarito, and elected to take a circus fight that everyone thought he would dominate, but ended up getting beaten into retirement. If he didn't want to bring up Margarito's name then when he promised him a fight, which he would have probably lost, but to a legitimate WW instead of a featherweight, then why is he constantly talking about Margarito now?

Maybe he's eyeing a comeback fight against him. Unlikely, but it could happen.

        I think it's a simple pyschological phenomenon.

People get obsessed with things they fear, like great whites, killer whales, hippos, lions and tigers.

Dlh feared for his life when Margs beat Cotto brutally, now he's strangely fascinated by him.

Why do we talk about Antonio Margarito like he is actually coming back? The guy doesn't have his license so lets not even acknowledge him. He's a ghost in my eyes, until he actually comes back to the ring.

Lions, tigers, bears, Margarito, Pac, Clottey, just a minute I have to go on boxrec to see who the top 25 welters are.

Boxing only revolves around the U.S. right??

He did his year, if he fights in Mexico now its all good.
