Right... But, that was at 135 and after Muhmmad... I mentioned Campbell earlier in thread... But, here is the thing do fans want him to fight African American fighters or slick fighters... Because Campbell is African American but not slick... Pac has fought slicker fighters than Campbell...Comment

I already said if you think he influenced Leonard, Nell even Floyd. Fine. I agree.
But if you were saying he invented "slick" boxing. I dont agree with that. Me being a big supporter of Floyd and not being a fan of Pac doesnt make me a less credible poster. Thats why when I say Jro on I usually start some **** with him because he knows about the sport. I dont know everything. But I know alot though.
It was you who caim in asking the question "which white guy invented slick boxing". Never once did I say that...I just said Pep invented a certain style that others copied. I'm just curious as to why you feel the need to put words in my mouth?Comment

never did I say he invented slick boxing. What is slick boxing? as I stated in the other thread...everyone has a different definition. Not to be a **** but you need to go back and re-read why I replied the way I did. Those guys were saying Pac was avoided a certain style and also that only blacks fought that way. I then brought up the fact that Pep invented the style they were referring to in an attempt to kill that b.s. statement by chivixx. Nothing more or nothing less.

Well Shane isnt a part of the slick club and I pick Pac to beat Shane. But he is black. Pac couldve fought him instead of Cotto.Comment

yes that is were it came from....I didn't like how inaccurate that guys statement was and most of those slick fighters he was implying to got their style from pep. Raheem, Guzman, Floyd, and others all have a lil "Willie pep" in them. The reality is that every fighter is a combination of the fighters before him. Alot of them bring new stuff to the game but like I was implying you can't limited it to AA when Pep had one of the biggest influences on that style of boxing.Comment

cotto was an opponent that not only sells more than shane, but shares the same promoter. not to mention he was probably the easier fightComment
