JMM landed shots on him. I watched the fight again a couple of days ago, and when Floyd goes to the corner after round 7 or 8 I think, you can see that he is not happy. JMM lands a combination of 2-3 punches on Floyd, and even his trainer says "Don't worry about it, you are winning every round anyway". I can't remember when anybody has ever landed a combination that clean on the face of Mayweather.
JMM is a good fighter, but not as fast as Shane. It's gonna be problematic for Floyd to gain the momentum that he usually has if he isn't able to hurt Mosley. But hey, then again, it was his come-back fight, so it might be rust he is able to train off.

What I feel is ****ed up is if PBF sticks around and loses a tough battle with a very good high profile younger fighter people will give him more respect because they finally got to see PBF in a battle that wasn't in his 130-135lbs days. But what won't be discussed by most is that PBF had to be on his decline for that to happen.

Seems a little early to be making excuses for the Mosley fight.

Never mind, the past prime excuse can't possibly work for that one.

No excuses needed, I believe Floyd beats Shane.
          However,
He is on the decline. He is no where near as fast, not as vicious and won't throw combos.

Defense is still Excellent. That hasn't slipped at all.

            Whose making excuses?

He's not in his physical prime. However mentally he's never been better, which is why I still think he'd beat old 130-140 Floyd

He hasn't really slipped much at all. If he was 100% in his prime, he'd be 90-95% now.

Mayweather has not slipped, he is just planting the seed early - incase Shane hands it to him. He is getting us ready for an excuse. IF he loses, he will say he underestimated Shane, etc, then he will come back hungry in a rematch and beat an older Mosley in boring fashion. Deep down, I think Mayweather will pull out with a so called injury, postponing the fight......then who knows what happens next.

I wonder how ****m is going to split the time up between B Hop and Mosley. They both have fights just weeks apart.

I think it depends on the fighter. There's no set age IMO.
