Article: "Mayweather admits subtle signs of slipping, and his dad sees signs too"

"The intelligence doesn't change from 21 -- the age at which Mayweather won his first championship -- to now.

The ability to react upon it can.

Mayweather acknowledges there are subtle signs that he has slipped some, knows what they are and coyly refuses to discuss them. His father, Floyd Sr., said he has seen some tell-tale signs, too."

They just want you to believe he's slipping. He's the best he's ever been...after a 2 year break on his body...Mosley is 38 and he's been wayyy more active and taken much more punishment...

Not very in-depth but very true. When's the last time you say Floyd throw combinations consistently? He's 33 and slipping. How much that will affect him remains to be seen.

I've been saying this forever. He's not the same fighter he used to be. Roach even said that. He said about Oscar, and Cotto too. Floyd Mayweather isn't what he once was. That said I still think he's the best boxer out there. I wouldn't say he's past his prime but he's in the back half of it.

could have told u this from the Hatton and JMM fights.....been trying to tell people Floyd beat both with his C level game and that he was infact incredibly rusty against JMM.....how many times u see Floyd get off and pull the punch back because he didn't time it right....he really did struggle to get off at times.....which was a big red flag in my book.....like i have been saying he shows up that way against SSM and he's in trouble.......

Honestly...watch his fights at the lower weights and early 147....much faster and slicker..just an animal at 130,135 and 140......he's actually been physically in terms of speed and reflexes on the slide for a while now.....trust me i've seen all of his fights...most 5 or more times.......even foot speed......thats what happens when u become inactive and continue to eat garbage food into your 30's.........

U could tell big floyd was wholly unimpressed with Floyd jr's performance against JMM judging by facial expression and body language in the ring after the fight..........

Floyd needs to up his game!!!!! None of this "money" mayweather bull****....BRING BACK THE PRETTY BOY....he was much hungrier and better

He throws less combos but i'm not sure that it has to do with his age, probably more to do with being at the higher weights. He still has the speed and reflexes. He is also the most technically sound fighter around and that wont slip no matter how old he is.

His legs are not the same he is not as solid as he was but he is what 32-33 when he starts slipping it will be a fast process.

I agree that Mayweather has slipped and would continue to, but thats how boxing is.
