It's possible but I don't think so. I don't think Floyd is even capable of fighting the kind of fight he did against Castillo the second time. Alton Merkerson, when he was probed for saying Roy Jones was slipping (this was right after the Ruiz fight), said he realized it because Jones had stopped throwing combos. Watch Mayweather-Marquez again. The age is showing.

Floyd is in his prime right now. 2 years of taking HGH rejuvinated his body.

This is what we were talking about as far as physical prime.

However with his ring smarts I still think he'd beat the old Floyd(130-140).

That just goes to show you how skilled and smart he is

You say he's slipping but Floyd has never been like a big combination puncher. He picks his shots, some are combinations some are just the right hand. But he is so accurate it doesnt matter too much.

Judging from the Marquez fight, You cant say he is struggling.

Actually, you can. I first saw Floyd was slipping against Oscar. I think you could go back to the Mitchell fight but that, to me, had more to do with moving up in weight. Against Oscar I realized he was slowing down in the legs and that his reflexes weren't what they once were. They're still amazing but that little slip can do so much to hurt you. Against Marquez it was right out in the open.

I guess we'll get a better indication after the Mosley fight. I wouldn't put too much weight on the Marquez fight; it was his first fight after a two year layoff.

                LOL @ floyd
                "slippin"

                Age is inevitable

period He will adjust his style to fit his physical abilities unlike Roy jones.

More like Bernard...which is why floyd will be able to fight for another 10 years if he wants to

Dude was an animal at 130, virtually unbeatable

He's not what he once was but he's still an elite fighter

I would. Some of it was rust but some things just never come back.

                      IMDAZED is right

Roy was slipping in 2001, people just didn't realise until Tarver
