Voted 'i dont care'. If a fighter wants to quit it's their prerogative and I'm not gonna judge them for it.
i agree you never know what a fighter is going through in the ring and if they choose to quit that is their choice i was just wondering because i notice some guys get a pass for "quitting" and its rarely if ever mentioned while others are known as quitters for the rest of their careers.
There's a difference between what Morales did and what let's say Victor Ortiz did.
Morales is an old 30 something year old, he's been in countless wars and his body has taken a beating. He couldn't continue because his body wouldn't let him. He has nothing to prove to anyone because he's already proven it in the ring countless times.
Victor Ortiz on the other hand, is young, strong and has never been in 1 war. There's no reason for him to quit or not want to continue. He said he doesn't deserve to get beat on like that, where as Morales and Marquez have said they are willing to DIE in the ring, that's the difference in their mind set.
One thing is to be old and past your prime like Morales, DLH, Chavez when they couldn't come out of the corner. Another is to be young like Ortiz and not want it anymore.

He just looked washed up and weighed drained. At the weigh in he looked like one of the skeletons on display at the London Science museum.
In the fight he gave it his best. He didn't look terribly hurt, it was more like "I can't be bothered anymore, I'm not gonna win tonight in the shape I'm now in, might as well finish it".
