Isn' it a bit suicidal to put him in the ring with a guy who is 25-8 as Mayrga is just starting out ?

The move is pretty easy to figure out : Mayorga can't compete anymore with the top guys in boxing. Angulo would have crushed him.

Somehow, I think it's good news for MMA to have him.

Thats the most ridiculous thing you couldve ever said dude, I have to rip you now, you set yourself up... To compare any MMA fighters boxing ability to that of a former UNDISPUTED CHAMPION Mayorga is down right ******ed! Nobody thats ever been in MMA has the boxing skills to make it in pro boxing, or have a successful pro boxing career. Anderson Silva would be the only one I make an acception for, or Marcus Davis, simply because they were pro boxers, but Silva was only 1-1 lost to a nobody, and Marcus Davis wasnt very good either! Ray Mercer is the only MMA fighter who could be successful in pro boxing... Because he already was, and he went to MMA after boxing because he was done in the boxing ring... Mayorga will knock Thomas clean out once he connects with a clean hook... Point is, the MMA world still has yet to see boxing skills like Mayorga's, and Ray Mercer doesnt count because it was long after he was out of his prime...
