Hopkins-Jones II: Better Never Than Late

Exactly, I remember the proposed Toney Hopkins fight, Toney went out of his way to make that fight happen. He was also willing to let Hopkins take the bigger purse split. If Hopkins wanted a rematch to happen he should of just accepted the terms proposed. Its him that wanted to avenge his loss, not Roy. Im sure Hopkins didnt demand a 50/50 split with Oscar or Tito.Comment

Lol, man how times have changed. From Hopkins having a high top fade to being bald, and from Roy looking like a 16 year old to having wrinkles and bags under his eyess.Comment

hopkins also said he agreed to 60/40 but when it was time to sign the contract it did not come out to 60/40, more like 70/30 or 75/25 something like that. You can source HBO in your previous post but that doesn't shed any light on the actual facts and numbers of the proposed contract(s).Exactly, I remember the proposed Toney Hopkins fight, Toney went out of his way to make that fight happen. And forget about james toney man, that fight was never really possible. After Toney lost to Jones, he skyrocketed up in weight.Comment

I quoted this match to show how a fighter desperate to make a fight behaves. Hopkins simply wasnt in the position to dictate terms:hopkins also said he agreed to 60/40 but when it was time to sign the contract it did not come out to 60/40, more like 70/30 or 75/25 something like that. 1: Jones was the bigger star
2: his lhw belt was on the line
3: he had already beaten him
You know that 30+% would of been a lot more than Hopkins got fighting Daniels or HakkarComment

Hopkins is full of ****. He never agreed to 60-40 in the first place. When did he say this, years later?hopkins also said he agreed to 60/40 but when it was time to sign the contract it did not come out to 60/40, more like 70/30 or 75/25 something like that. for sure 30% would have been more than fighting hakkar, etc., but everyone should know how hopkins is with contracts he doesn't play around at all which is why he would never have a promoter taking a cut, and he is a man of principle. ****, it ultimately set up his fight with Oscar which was a huge payday in the end anyway.I quoted this match to show how a fighter desperate to make a fight behaves. ESPN I believe, I have it on DVD somewhere. And you know he's full of ****, do you? So you saw the contract and can say for certainty what happened?
Again, here comes IMDAZED with his absolute knowledge on everything! Thanks for clearing this issue up once and for allComment
