Yeah, I do. I tend to stay away from opinion on this fight in NSB, because I will only get flamed for it. I just feel like fighters who throw a TON of punches, or have a big punch is a serious danger for Roy. Someone who is the age of Bernard, someone who likes to pick his shots, box and counterpunch like Bernard is good for Roy. I feel like Roy needs those extra few seconds to get set, and then figure out what he wants to do, and then do it. I believe with Bernard he will get those chances. Someone like Joe, didn't give him a second to do anything, was a terrible style for a 40 year old Roy.

Thanks for replying to my question. All good points as well, I really do hope he does win, Im not sure if he will make any money from this fight, but it would be a nice note to go out on.

Bernard been wanting a rematch for over ten years now. Back in 01 Jones was still p4p1 in most peoples eyes and Bernard Beat Trinidad when Jones said he would fight the winner but then fell back and started fighting lesser opponents again. Hopkins wanted to fight him in from 98 on up. And would of whooped that ass.

Roy gauranteed Bernard the first 3 million.. and then they split the rest 50-50. Unless there is a knockout. I am sure Roy will see a few million from it. I actually think this fight will do good numbers..

If it were anyone else an article like this wouldn't even exist. It's just the fact that roy isn't who he once was, an all time great fighter, that this discussion is even taking place.

There are countless fighters who lose a couple fights by KO and continue fighting and that's perfectly normal. ****, look at Edison Miranda. He's going against Bute and he was brutally KO'd by Abraham & Pavlik, but he can still beat lesser opponents. No one is screaming for his boxing privileges to be revoked. He's younger, so he gets a pass, but in all honestly I'd be more concerned for his health than roy jones fighting 45 year old hopkins.

People have been hearing about this rematch for about 15 years now. All the people that followed their careers throughout the early-mid-late 90's and on, will still want to watch the fight regardless of where each fighter is at in their respective careers.

Same reason Id still watch Tyson-Holyfield... not because it might be an EPIC fight... I just want to see what will happen.

I am not worried about Roy Jones, besides these guys are both old if they are continuing to fight why not fight each other to make some decent money. I don't find the fight all that interesting but if they want to do it let them have at it.

but yet they want me to but on damn near 35 pounds to go up to 190 pounds and fight Superman. Hell, I haven't made 160 pounds in a while (1-31-1998 vs. Simon Brown was the last time) so for people to think that I could come in at 190 and be able to fight effectively at that weight would be crazy.
