No. Those guys made contact but Floyd did not put himself in a position to get hurt. He rolled and saw a lot of punches. JLC made contact by going to body all day. That is not what Pac does. Especially at that stage Pac had more of a brawling style. Thats what a counter puncher wants. Now the reason Pac is so dangerous now is because Roach has found a way to keep Pac more balanced and the frenzy is more controlled than it used to be. If you are gong to talk about getting tagged think about how much Pac used to get tagged by counters at that time. Then think about how accurate and fast Mayweather was at that time. Pac wasn't the type of fight at that time to set traps and that is what he would have had to do. Now I think he may be that type of fighter. Not then.
At what moment did Pacquiao become better than Mayweather?

Good post, that poster does not understand how IMPORTANT styles are when looking at a fight.No. Those guys made contact but Floyd did not put himself in a position to get hurt. We can all agree that Pac has improved. But how much is very subjective IMO. I say that because Pac to me is still very left-hand dependent which makes sense he's a lefty. But I still do not believe that Pac's right hand has developed to the point if his left hand was taken away from him in a fight to where say he only landed maybe 3 out of 10 left hands thrown he could compensate for that with a good variation of punches thrown with his right hand. In order me to really see how much he has truly improved Pac is going to have to face fighters with different styles. Which he is not doing right now IMO. Pac is facing good fighters who are bigger but Pac is not facing fighters who presented to him the same skill, speed, defensive and mental challenges that JMM gave him. If he passes that test with flying colors Pac has come full circle as a fighter.Post JMM II there was a definate transformation. Roach has said that fight made everything click for Pac and made him open for the changes they've been working on. After JMM II Pac's right hand was complete, his movement was 10x better and he picked up some boxing skills. I believe at that point he became capable to beat Mayweather.
IMO with Pac's current skillset he has a 55/45 favor to beat the current Mayweather and a 60/40 to beat 130 Mayweather. Lightweight Mayweather is more dangerous but he opened himself up alot more and he still would have all the troubles that Pac brings today but leaves himself to be caught alot more than today.Comment

if youve seen pac vs makelin youd know pac has always been a brutal body puncher as well....he's been good at it even in his early days.....what makes pac so special is his awkwardness, he aint a textbook fighter, hes always been unpredictable and unusual.....floyd would'nt know what to do..No. Those guys made contact but Floyd did not put himself in a position to get hurt. well, you basically said it at your previous post. It's not a fighters fault if he won against a fighter who is not 100% there.Did you know Cotto had to cut 17 Pounds to fight Pac? And after that he rehydrated to how many pounds?
Did you know Hatton had to cut 40 Pounds to make 140?
And after that he rehydrated to how many pounds?
Do you know that Clottey will have to cut atleast 20 Pounds to make 147?
And after that he will rehydrate how many pounds?
Did you know that Oscar had to cut about 14 Pounds to make 147?
And after that he is ****** to not even try to rehydrate.
So what was your point about Chico cutting weight again?
How much weight did Chico rehydrated into?Comment

He would do what JMM did. But worse.if youve seen pac vs makelin youd know pac has always been a brutal body puncher as well....he's been good at it even in his early days.....what makes pac so special is his awkwardness, he aint a textbook fighter, hes always been unpredictable and unusual.....floyd would'nt know what to do..Comment

and he did'nt really have to...but floyd tried to push it to 14 days instead of the original 30 days that they deamnded to get out of the fight.......then he said, that he wont fight pac 50/50 if his fight vs shane does better tham pac vs clottey.....floyd does'nt want a pac fightComment

I wonder why his progression is so strange. He couldn't have had???For those of you who think he will win (I'm not decided yet, I'll decide after their next fights).
Surely at 130 Mayweather would have beaten Pacquiao who lost to Morales once and drew/won SD over Marquez. At 135? Pacquiao looked like a beast but he was only fighting David Diaz so it's hard to hell. 140 and 147 Pac beat up Hatton ODLH and Cotto but if you can pin point the moment Pac became good enough to beat Floyd let me know...
His progression is so strange, haven't seen anything else like it in boxing.
Anyway Pac has never been, and still isn't better than Floyd.Comment
